Here are a few gripes and I dont hate the story because the art is beautiful but it has to be totally fictional because there are many plot holes that take you out the story. Don't get me wrong it's entertaining but....
I think someone said it best in the comments about how making him the future king is troublesome. Even the ML mother has given up on hope for him but the King, the ML father I know he loves his son but it's illogical to have two sons and act as though the first son, the ML is the only option for king when he isn't capable of being one and the second son is.
He's not mentally there and I hate that the plot is that the FL is meant to "heal his wounds and make me a better person through love~" when he needs serious psychiatric help. They know he's a killer and is unstable and leaves her alone with him and puts her in danger.
They know he's capable of harming others and keep going along with him being in situations that their own citizens can get harmed from him but still do it. She trips over everything not once or twice like the cliche way to further their progress along, but EVERY SINGLE TIME she trips and he catches her. It's been like four or five times it's up to chapter 28.
Her parents claim to dote on her and love her while threatening nobody would harm her, but when they saw the violence her betrothed showcased at a party, they didn't snatch her away and annul the betrothal.
The family has generational debt but are relatively doing fine because they farm but the FL feels the need to still stay with the ML even though she really doesn't have to but has grown attached to him very quickly. He's harmed her once before and she has to constantly make sure he doesn't harm others, thus putting herself into harms way multiple times.
It's just goofy. To be totally honest, it would've been a much better story if we just had the ML story of his kidnapping and growing up as an assassin. It would give off a Vinland saga feel of that were the case.
I don't know but I'll continue to read it cause it's not bad but it's not logical and when reading this all logic has to go out the window and you have to turn your brain off and just enjoy the art and her tripping all over the place I guess. Lol
Everytime I open a new chapter, I expect nothing and get nothing. Why do we care about the ex at this point? Why do good stories go south like this? The bondservant, where the heart is, midnight poppylan and and like numerous others. It's like the authors forget what they were writing and just throw anything in. So frustrating cause usually these have the best art too
Maxi being protected and loved like this makes my heart jump for joy. There can never be any Riftan slander to me because I know he is a REAL man. He doesn't hold back protecting or loving her and that's why he's my fave.
This had so much potential and the story went off the rails. None of it is logical and just bizarre.

Make them see each other and the one lead is an adult beforehand. Like can we have two consenting adults and he never knew her as a child? Him not holding her as a child would've been Way better. It comes off so creepy and it doesn't have to be.
I feel that his parents and what needed to be punished. They locked her up for days while she suffered pregnant. They beat her and her husband. Ain't no way they're gonna just sit there acting like her parents aren't the worse either. Holding the baby and crap. Smh
Y'all make the shit so miserable. Attacking each other for opinions, saying he's an abuser and spoiling stuff without even a warning. Like are y'all ok? We can't have any community cause of how extreme everyone acts all the time.

I thought it was gonna turn into one of those "imma get pregnant and leave and hears later you've been searching for me and find out later I was pregnant" stories. This is good writing tho
I'm so proud of her! That took so much courage and I love that she's thinking of the others as well. She is a great character
So let's screw our problems away. I just skipped the smut cause it's unnecessary now. You have so much going on and you wanna just have sex to dull the issues. Bad writing at its finest.
See she's better than me cause I would've left time I found out about the ex fiancee. This is too much drama and it's unnecessary. Go back to the lovey dovey stuff. The ex didn't need to show up. The crazy psycho friend didn't need to show up. All they had to do was make it that he and her were in love and the parent didn't accept because he's a little older and then he gets himself together and changes his lifestyle for her. The parents accept him trying to be his best for her family and she gets over her brother's passing. She stands up to her parents and tell them she doesn't wanna fill in the footsteps of her brother. Then the Sol situation could be that they live a good life and sol moms aren't bothered by the past and crap and live happily. It's all over the place and they don't fix one issue before starting another. There's no reason this situation with the ex shouldn't of even happened. There's no reason that he should be Sol's biological dad or whatever. It's bad writing imo.

I'm sorry she's going through a rough time and I feel for DV cause I've been there, but to have her take care of your child with her family and you take care of your former ex fiance almost wife, in the house you and I cohabitate, no sir! This would be the time to help her as support to get this woman to the police and into some type of protective situation. His past is making your life miserable. I cannot! What is the author doing?! Just let them make love and be cute! Why all the unnecessary drama!!!! Omg
He doesn't actually love her. We know it's obsession but if he loved her he would get her somewhere safe and clean. Make it easier for her and either stop her from having to work or make a position easier for her that she doesn't have to work as much. This and the fact the chapters are becoming confusing and the plot seems lost. Idk man other than the art and I wouldn't even say that cause everyone who's a main character looks similar... So it's confusing. I don't see the point other than the art tbh
I thought it was on some aki sora type mess cause it's a good read but I thought they were biological siblings. They aren't.
