The end of season is really underwhelming, feels like middle of the story, not a real cliffhanger either. I hope they come back soon.
I also hate stories, where FL comes back to the abusive ex after reincarnation but this one honestly isn’t that bad. We still don’t know how exactly did she die. For now it seems like last life he just ignored her most of the time but still treated her with decency. She said so herself. The love of his life is also very suspicious and it was established, that rulers in this setting had many concubines. Additionally, it actually took years of her pushing him away before she gave in and it’s also not like she suddenly became a lovesick bird. She’s cautious.
I honestly think this is one of very few stories of this kind where it even makes sense that she tries again whit the first ML. Like with Bianca’s case (Marriage of connivence). Makes more sense than the couple in ‘what it means to be you’ or ‘I’m a villainess but I won’t live like one’, so if anyone liked those 3 despite this trope, I think you will like this one too.
The storyline is truly something new. It gets you hooked right away but for a piece this short, it’s really inconsistent. It’s like the author had an innovative idea but somewhere in the middle turned off their brain and the only grey brain cells were carrying ‘smut’ with them.
I can’t get over the fact the wind guy was forgiven. And got such position after enormous betrayal? No brain cells left, I tell you.
It’s disappointing because at first it looks like a good story but then just turns into porn.
Wow, they really know how to communicate, I love it that MC doesn’t keep secrets from him. And he’s worried about him! I can’t believe mister fox thinks he actually can erase the memories later, good luck bud, you will be crying after him!
Oh no, I should’ve let it marinate… the story is so funny, yet still serious and with comfortable amount of smut. The execution is perfect, art is really nice and it has ayakashi! I repeat, ayakashi in BL! Damn, I love it sooo much !

MC and ML are like caricatures of typical ‘hurt bad boy’ and ‘absent-minded hardworking fool’. I thought we left such one dimensional stories in early 2000s…

I’ve caught up at chapter 77 and I could not have chosen better timing (unless let it marinate till the end), as I would be beside myself if he was still walking around without harm. It’s been a long time since I wanted a character to die so badly. The fact that he doesn’t even understand why MC hates him and probably doesn’t even believe that’s a possibility makes me so furious I just can’t. He’s insufferable. I feel just pure hatred towards him. No redeemable qualities, shit of an asshole. I wish his sister killed him when she realized that he’s a lost cause, but her children will suffer because of him too and that’s on her. The whole adult family is pure garbage. And the little boy… I just can’t.
Nothing amazing but a nice read. I wish it was a bit longer and had some more focus on other characters, like what did Princess Marion do, when she run, how was she found, her current relation, etc. Did Geoffrey manage to kill you know who and who got the crown. Cesars older sister just appeared and was never seen before, what is she up to? Looks like author wanted a longer story with all those characters that have been introduced but then just finished it once the main couple got an ending. I’m a bit sad because of that.
I hope someone uploades the rest here sine this is finished, I would love to binge read all!
I liked it till chapter 26, all that smut came out of nowhere. And I thought the tiger would be nicer once it came to it. Kitty seems scared and mentally unprepared, they didn’t talk anything through and he’s pushy.

Yeah the smut is bad. Haedong looks terrified the whole time, Yongwoo suddenly goes from green flag to typical shitty seme after being so gentle and considerate the whole time. Zero foreplay, not even a single kiss. It felt forced in way earlier than made sense. I guess that applies to both the story and his dick actually.
The power dynamic becomes really uncomfortable once sex is pushed onto Haedong as well; all of this started because he stole from Yongwoo so there's a feeling of not being in a position to refuse, either out of guilt or because Yongwoo could decide to turn him in at any point.
They have no chemistry and it feels so dull. Theres something missing from the smut I swear I just dunno what.
I feel like it's lacking any kind of emotion or affection. Dull is right.
