Mostly working. I'm teaching a summer course so I won't actually have any free time until late July. Aside from that I have work trips to Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, and then Finland again. I'm already exhausted just thinking about it, because travelling for work sounds a lot more fun in theory than it is in reality.

Curating a physical collection is not performative, it's what you care about and want to preserve. There's no telling for how long the manga will be available online, after all, since we're all sliding into a subscription economy where we pay for temporary access, not ownership.

I'm fine, but... I'm grading the reports of students so that they would know what they got for their final research papers on Monday. There is one student who I know could have performed so much better, but because the paper he submitted isn't so good, I can't give him the overall course grade that I honestly think would reflect his level of knowle...... 1 reply
I think your feelings make perfect sense. It's hard to try and want to believe in something, and then you look all around you at the people who claim to be practicing the same religion, only to be disappointed by them and their conduct at every turn.

I think you should be open about the reason they stripped you of the title, but bring it up as a funny "oh well, this will be a funny anecdote for a LinkedIn post". It's important that people do not realize how much this hurt you.You can even include it as a story in your personal essay, framing it as how you managed to overcome and motivate yours...... 2 reply
