richard has regressed way more than 49 times and daphne and caelus have regressed way more times than him so they’re all aware and know and daphne is evil and caelus has loved richard for a very very long time and he’s actually super obsessed but he acts mean to protect richard from daphne and daphne has actually killed every single character at least once(including ml and mc)

“daphne” isnt from this world and she’s not the og daphne she was sucked into the novel and the whole reason why she’s evil is because she’s desperately tried to go back home but it’s been like 1k regressions and she tries to follow or change the story many times in hopes it’ll trigger the ending and she’ll get sent home but nothing ever works so she’s basically just gone insane

caelus and daphne are basically enemies and he stopped loving her a looooong time ago and he fell in love with richard because richard once did this exact type of plan of trying to seduce him a long time ago and richard doesn’t remember because a while back caelus stabbed him with this knife that makes you lose your memory because the awareness of being in a novel is what triggers the regressing so by him getting rid of his memories he won’t be aware anymore and he’ll live “normally”

it takes forever for richard to fall in love with caelus because he truly does love daphne since he’s basically written to love her with all his heart and this is what’s keeping them stuck in the loop so at the end she finally dies/disappears once richard stops loving her and accepts the real daphne is gone and then they regress again but daphne is written out of the story and so that means they can be in peace and do whatever they want now and caelus proposes and richard accepts and they end up together

everything caelus does is for richard and he’s spent so many regressions protecting and chasing after richard
