I hate her dad cause why are you playing favourites... He loves her more than her brother's and why is her mom so nonchalant about it?!?! Bro called her useless at birth and the mom forgives him. Idgaf if he's shy. Neither the mom or dad deserve their kids they just love eachother. You would think there would be more love showed in the family if the dad is soo in love with the mom. I'm tired of them
I agree this part doesn’t make sense lol. They got a fuck ton of children but the dad only opens up to the daughter. I also hate the mom tbh because she's the typical "im so warm and kind" mom but she's actually literally useless. An absent mom and selfish one because she didn’t give two shit if her lover didn’t care about the children they made together. In the webtoon, I forgot which chapter, the dad even says he's being swayef because FL looks like her mom. So the dad only care about his wife and whoever looks like his wife??
These are good emotions to feel over these characters. It's good they are flawed and annoying, it makes for an interesting read & a chance to introspect on our own morals and values irl

I strongly disagree because they're not directly shown as flawed characters at all. If anything they've been put in a very positive light early on, they dot on the FL, leave meetings early just to be present for her birthday etc. All their flaws have been swept under the rug. It's just that us, intelectuals, see past that miserable attempt of hiding their flaws

Uhh... okay... so why do they have to be directly acknowledged immediately as flawed, to be considered flawed characters...? You say we are intellectuals for reading in between the lines, but that is simply the point of reading in the first place. The point of view is from the perspective of the MC, who is being doted on & has her own plotline to follow. As the story has progressed, we see currently through her meeting with her older brother, that he has been mistreated and neglected by their parents. THAT is the author "directly showing" that they are flawed -- they shouldn't have to spell it out for us, we as readers should be able to understand that we are getting upset over their behavior as parents, because they are making mistakes we dislike.
