Well he literally had no second chance and had to rebuild everything from the start the narrative punishes him the most out of every single character in this story. Its fine to not like him but punishing him constantly for his mistakes and giving him 0 chances to become a better person and be happy is just bad storywriting and ur setting yourself up for a bad message
Read the second half and you’ll understand everything … I get some people can do messed up things and I for one am no saint in life … but I promise you it’s good

I can't help but think many of the comments here didn't actually finish the story because the ending isn't really half bad.
I went into this expecting the uke to be the most mind numbing, self sacrificing, pushover of the century, but genuinely, no. He knows what he's doing, he is aware that he's doing it to himself, he is very VERY self-aware. Socially, he has confidence and takes control when he wants something, but he lacks self-esteem, which can easily be explained away by looking at his past with his disapproving family situation, then his money struggles, and anxieties about his future.
Plus, we got yearning tears and an alcoholic phase from the seme, so all's well...
The ending is kind of weak, but it's an alright read
Artstyle is so cute and squishy, but ML poopy as hell. Pre-amnesia ML and post-amnesia ML are like two totally different hoes, like night and day
I wanna like this story as much as everyone else does, but I just despise the whole "I'm going out with this girl cause I feel like I have to to fit in, and I have feelings for someone else, but I'm gonna keep dating this girl anyway" thing. It really irks me every time it's in *any* story

They're very cute as a couple, but I wish we saw more of what actually happened when they fought in highschool AND had a better resolution to that whole thing.
Y'all spent years mad at each other and the readers aren't really told *why* exactly. I mean, we're given a liiiiittle information to guess, but the cause is never brought up again. And the resolution was just, "Oh? You like me? Deadass? You're forgiven! Let's (trial) date!" Huh??
It started off really really strong and it was super sweet then they just had to disappoint us with SA. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but.. seriously, dude?
