- It's an eye opener.
- Compton finally coming to terms with his repressed feelings all those years upon meeting and understanding Garam. He's not changed, but he'll get there someday.
- I think Garam is starting to realize that there is another side to this relationship and it's not just rainbows and butterflies. He talked to Compton, he tried to make him understand. I think his experience with Compton made his views wider. Not saying Garam's having 2nd thoughts, just, he's now presented a bigger picture to look at. And so far, he's trying to look at the extendes sides of that picture.
- Heejae's the opposite, he's clouded by the romance he's experiencing for the 1st time. He's having the "kid's first time at Disneyland" moment and his focus is solely on Garam. Sure he changed, but i think it's more for the sake of Garam. Heejae seriously need to fix himself as a musician and as a person, cuz as a lover he's doing a great job. Unc need to open his eyes, enough to realize the scar he inflicted and the pain he gave to his students.

Based on the last panel, comparing the scenes before where he was still a student under Heejae. Maybe deep down he just wants to heal his student self, and the torment he had to undergo to be a 'gem'. Maybe he still strives for Heejae's approval, or maybe hating him is easier than caring about what his teacher thinks.
I think the difference between him and Kruger is that, Kruger chose to stay away from Heejae for his peace of mind. Heejae was a thorny stepping stone that Kruger don't want to step on again, (cuz why would he step back down). Whilst Compton tries to understand his teacher by embodying the hatred he feels, by trying to immitate that passion for music. Trapping himself in a never ending cycle of torment. But then again, just my thoughts hehe,,
