In BJ Alex the two leads were, ofc, Jiwon and DG and the second leads were MD and Chanwoo. We got to see a little of the seconds leads in the main story and then got dedicated side stories with them and the leads. Since Jinx was following the same recipe as BJ Alex I was expecting the same side stories for Heesung and Potato but in the Creator’s Note she only said that we’ll get to see more of JJK and Kimmy’s new lives together, no mention of Heesung and Potato whatsoever. I really hope we do get like 10 side stories of them and 10 side stories of JJK and Kimmy but now I’m not so sure anymore :-/

Taesung better be following him or put a tracker on him, but my guess is that he WILL go missing again cuz the author wants to prolong the season this way
I feel so bad for Haebom, it was clear from several chapters ago that Red had done some vile, horrifying and disgusting things to him (SA/rape/abuse) especially when he said that he was better off dead since he was sterile (Haebom wasn’t sterile in the main story, so that means Red must’ve *made him* sterile) and now when he was talking with the grandpa he said that he wasn’t expecting him to function properly after everything he went through so now I can’t help but think that Red did things to him like the twins and Pilgyun did to Jooha in Pearl Boy!
I just can’t grasp how hateful and homophobic the grandpa could be for him to order some thugs to such things to Haebom? Like, seriously? Ordering them to finish him off for good would’ve made “much more sense” than to order them to torture and mutilate him?! UNLESS! That was the plan from the beginning! The grandpa ordered them to abduct him and k*ll him BUT! Red was such a sick psycho that he wanted to “play a little” before doing the job (cuz now he had the opportunity to do some sick things to a “new toy”) BUT! Haebom managed to escape before he could finish the job! That’s why the girl immediately contacted Red and the girl asked Red if she did good, and Red complimented the girl for finding him and telling Red, and why Red immediately went to the bakery and said something like “so here’s where you are?” It implied that he (or they if Red had help) never had any intentions of letting him go but Haebom managed to escape somehow!

Evolving my comment from last week (“please don’t let this be a goodbye kiss and Haebom doesn’t disappear after this”) into: it feels like this will be the “last” time they have sex (at least for a while) and that Haebom will disappear again afterwards. Even Taesung said it feels like a dream and that everything will be gone/he’ll be alone when he wakes up (foreshadowing). That’s why he’s finally letting him kiss him now and soaking in every moment.

This chapter feels both very confusing and rushed, like I’ve missed several chapters when I haven’t but this new season feels very inconsistent overall compared to previous seasons.
On one hand, Juheon is acting vile on purpose to scare / push Dohu away to keep him safe from his aunt but on the other hand, whenever he’s had alone time and inner monologues, he’s said that he doesn’t like or trust Dohu anymore because what they had is tainted. I think the author needed to have a longer hiatus and fully recovered before resuming this cuz this is just not it.

2) It's just a confusing translation but Juheon is saying that this encounter counts as the first of the 5 and it's not a freebie. He doesn't mean the 5 dates have happened already.
I agree the vibe is off. I get that he wants to scare him away so he won't be in danger or whatever but this dub con/non con stuff seems a step too far. He loves that man, even if he's conflicted, so hurting him this way seems like something he wouldn't do. And I'm sure once it's done Dohu will still be wanting to treat his wounds and give him first aid which will make it hurt even more for me. Juheon needs to realize Dohu is on the spectrum and he may not know how to show his emotions or act the way a normal boyfriend does, but when he shows up with bandages even after you yelled at him for getting involved, he is screaming I LOVE YOU as loud as he can, you just aren't listening!

Yeah, I agree. I understand that Juheon has his guard up and can’t trust people, that he’s very traumatized and lonely, I get that! But at the same time, when it comes to Dohu I feel like he’s overreacting and taking out all his frustrations he couldn’t take out on others in his life on Dohu because he was the closest and easiest target. I get that Juheon felt used but what Dohu did really wasn’t bad, he’s a writer, writers don’t come up with characters and stories out of the blue, they use real life people, sceneries and events as material. Juheon was his muse and because of that he fell for him, that’s the highest compliment. And eventho he’s treating him like absolute garbage he’s still there for him. We could argue that Dohu acould’ve asked for permission, but how many writers and artists actually do that? Not saying it makes it more right but what Dohu did is really not as bad as what the others in Juheon’s life have done. I agree what Dohu did really wasn't that awful, I think Juheon is so bothered by it because he thinks everything between them was completely made up and he feels played because he actually fell in love. Since Dohu doesn't show emotions in the traditional way, he never really conveyed to Juheon that he really did love him and it wasn't just for research. I think that's why Juheon doesn't understand why he is still pursuing him now or at least is very conflicted about it even though at this point everything Dohu is doing and saying is completely telling him his feelings. He's torn between wanting to protect Dohu from his family and protect himself from being used again but he is definitely taking it to a point that he's becoming very unlikable.

So in the panels where Jinwoo is preparing study material for the kids, he says that the Hounds usually return after 1 or 2 weeks so he should prep study material for 2 weeks just in case. So all this time that Jinwoo’s been there and everything’s that happened (Jinwoo arriving to Stillwater with a hurt ankle, the wheelchair the talks and the walks, him attacking and trying to kill Guwon twice, Jinwoo tutoring Guwon, Jinwoo confessing to Guwon, their first kisss, their first boomshakakala, the kid getting sick, the father getting executed, Jinwoo + doc going back to his apartment and doc getting killed, etc), all of that is supposed to have happened in just 1-2 weeks? I would’ve guessed that Jinwoo had been in the town for at least a month to two months before he met the Hounds for the first time. Have I missed a detail or is this a plot inconsistency?
Gyeongha stated that they normally only drop supplies off and then leave again immediately. I imagine they have come back a few times, but never stayed in town long enough to be introduced to them/never entered the town and only did this time to rest for a few days.

It used to be so sweet and wholesome and now so dark, it’s turned into a completely different story/genre so the only thing I can imagine is for it to get even darker and ludicrous, meaning: Taesung turning into Dooshik from Pearl Boy and going after everyone that hurt Haebom and kill them, including the grandpa. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened because I never expected any of whatever’s been going on up until now so why the hell not?
In the beginning of the season I made comments that something must’ve happened with the author in their personal life for them to ruin their best work on purpose like this and that someone needed to check up on them because something clearly isn’t right and that this can’t be just about them wanting to resume this story because they love and missed them or even because they needed money and wanted to milk their most successful story further for cash. I also said that sometimes when people go through stuff they get destructive and take it out on the most beautiful thing they have because they think, “If I can’t have it then so can’t they” and that this kinda made me think of Inking and Pearl Boy and how obvious it was that Inking hated Jooha because she kept putting him through all that misery, even tho he was her most beautiful and beloved character. I’m still standing by that. I didn’t want to think or comment about the author anymore (because it was getting old to see everyone commenting the same old thing about the author and not the chapters every single week) and just wanted to read the story but come on, something clearly IS up with them! I’ve referenced Pearl Boy before but the parallels are drawing even closer. Bamwoo and Inking vs. CBAW and Pearl Boy.
