Him not being sure, the subtle smile on his face at the end. Personally I don't see it as a bad omen, this ending. Especially with how they've been with eachother so far. Nothing in life is sure. I like the was it ended. It leaves room for speculation and growth and if/when they get together it will make their relationship even stronger because they've thought good and hard on their emotions and the future. Also these are full grown, well grounded adults.

Jaekyung is an asshole of course, we've known that since day 1. But doc Dan is also a problematic character. He doesn't value himself and accepts the abuse without even an ounce of self preservation except when his grandma is involved. This might be harsh but I might be better for his grandma to die so he can start living. I know his life has been hard but now he's basically accepting all this abuse and LIKING IT. That's my problem, he's actually catching feelings for JK and that's so messed up.

I think they do work. But not like this. They're both traumatized. Kim Dan especially. I think a time skip would have fit. JK needed to sweat and actually become someone who deserves KD and KD needs to be someone who prioritizes himself more. My rating for this has gone up though. It's still a beautiful story. But needing to literally almost die and then immediately coming together feels rushed. Like after all this time. A time skip apart for them to grow and reconnect would have worked better imo.
