Why doesn’t Kara’s just kill them when he seems very good at killing? Why did MC try to lie to Karas about his identity even after coming to castle? What’s this obsession with this wooden pendant again - does it reduce reliance on the poison or something?

He can't just kill them because there will always be a new council to replace them and poison more kings. If thr real regas (Abel) touches the wooden pendant they'll find out the ingredients for the black potion

Totally fair, I think there’s so much back and forth and people are always having epiphanies of one sort or another, I’ve gotten lost a few times and from there have lost some interest. Also sometimes their reason just doesn’t make sense to me even if explained (like why the MC hid from Karas when back at castle).
That was still kind of mean tho. There are alot of ppl who are in the same boat of confusion as you. So they didn't have to word in that way if they weren't going to help you. I'm glad you understand now
