He can't just kill them because there will always be a new council to replace them and poison more kings. If thr real regas (Abel) touches the wooden pendant they'll find out the ingredients for the black potion

Totally fair, I think there’s so much back and forth and people are always having epiphanies of one sort or another, I’ve gotten lost a few times and from there have lost some interest. Also sometimes their reason just doesn’t make sense to me even if explained (like why the MC hid from Karas when back at castle).
That was still kind of mean tho. There are alot of ppl who are in the same boat of confusion as you. So they didn't have to word in that way if they weren't going to help you. I'm glad you understand now

Ah, man, this is just too cruel. It wouldn't make sense for Enzo to get over the cheating just with a coerced bj, obviously he's too controlling, too greedy; but this is madness! Just how much you hate him to treat him like that? Saying those things!!! If Rian's only reaction is going to be 'keep your hands to yourself' after this, or worse, let himself be treated this way again and again, wow! This is fiction, yeah, I get it, but that's too fucked up even in a story. I'm not talking storywise, it's hot, it's not, it's wise, it's not. It's just cruel.

Anyone else feel like the character motivations no longer make sense--Etienne and Rishar's dynamic has these weird mini-conflicts that feel fake, the queen is obsessed with Etienne but doing a terrible job of keeping him under her thumb, it's hard to see where this all goes, etc?
