I do believe in manga the stories tend to be more poetic and nuanced, but I'd have to say I'm not a big fan of what the Japanese tend to celebrate in romance. After about 15 years of reading I noticed they as a culture have this odd way of writing toxic relationships and abuse (even the subtle ones where the love interest is simply selfish/only car...... 1 reply
Mine is Into the Horizon and Nerd Project because to me they're the only ones with actually stable plots. The rest are a mess. The Flower of Alyosha's plot is interesting too but I already read the novel.
