This could easily turn into a horror manga imagine waking up and finding out your decisions, your love, isn't chosen by you but some random god out there writing your story. That's like horrific
ykw there's a horror-comedy chinese light novel that has the premise you mentioned and yes, that aspect played a big part in the horror of it all iirc
