The way I love the novel so much more is exactly because moments like this, she suffered so much, and she was like when she got away then what, live in this book barely getting by, just waiting till the moment they come looking for her and find her, she was beaten and tired so she was going to hold her head up high and except the inevitable, her death by her husband hands. The scene I just read make no sense, like she's going back because she loves him and he won't look her way anymore if she leaves, like what.
No matter how many times I reread this, I stay wanting more.
