I really recommend reading the novel. It's a first person pov from the MC, so you can understand their feelings and personality better. Plus the MC's monologue just cracks you up lol. I swear he's too funny
There's been some foreshadowing of how desperate ML is about MC. Like when MC overheard the coaches talking that someone insisted on sharing a room with him, all the touching during practice, and when ML said he's been to the bathrooms many times since MC arrived. Now that ML finally got his chance of course he blew up lol
