Ok this my opinion u don’t agree with me, but I think he didn’t suffer enough. This doesn’t make him redeemable in the slightest, it just make him look more like a stupid asshole because he understood what Kim was going through cause he lived practically in the same conditions as him and he still decided to abuse Kim with no remorse whatsoever.
I've been reading a few comments like this but I don't think a child that suffered hunger, couldn't access basic hygiene, was abused physically and mentally, got abandoned by his mother twice and had little to non healthy representation of what a parent should be.... I don't think he didn't suffer enough. He suffered, and that's that. What he did after is the result of what he went through and the fact he didn't have trust in the people that wanted to help him and absolutely the fact he didn't go to therapy. He suffered so much he begin to resemble the very thing he hated, his father.
So no, I said he suffered enough. But, even though he suffered, it doesn't mean you can't held him accountable for all the shit he put Dan through. We can be sorry for a child that went through a rough childhood, but we can't be sorry for the aftermath

People be serious….what about if we make a petition for the male lead to be change, I think this is a great idea because first of all great chemistry, second of all they look cute together, and finally I don’t like the male lead. He is a rapist and he doesn’t respect boundaries. (●'◡'●)ノ
it's the author's story. if you've read their other works you know their stories always involve toxic relationships... i think it crossing a line to preach to the author about how you think their own story should be written, not to mention quite rude (despite what good intentions you may have)
if you don’t like the book, don’t read it. don’t try to tell the creator of the book how to write their own story because YOU don’t like it. you’re talking about respecting boundaries but you can’t do the same.
