I was so sure Sungwoon would be the older one because we often see him trying to soothe Wolhyun and I thought that’s definitely the big brother characteristic coming through lol
Usually in manhwas, we just get told that the emperor is evil but never really see them do anything that remotely explains why he's evil, a lot of the times they're just plain stupid despite their reputation. However, in this story we actually get to see how low the emperor will stoop to get what he wants. The protagonists are smart, they have the hero halo and future knowledge. Despite that the emperor comes up with ways to fuck them over anyway. He knows exactly how to strategize and plans according to that to get under the protagonists skin and show them how powerless they are against him. He also reads people accurately, knows how they might move to counterattack HIS plans and places measures for that too.
Who tf is cutting onions in the middle of the damn day!
In the first ss, when Geumryang is feeding Sungwoon and Taesun comes in kisses the kid on top his head and walks away after talking a while without kissing Geumryan. When he walks away, Geumryang and Sungwoon makes the same disappointed face lol.
They’re going to end up babying Karl too lol. I can feel it in my bones.
I’d just dump Dojin and Byul there and go back home if it were me lol
Yk what it pisses me off so much that the king and queen treat Lotte like shit because she was born a girl when GENDER DOESN'T EVEN MATTER IN THE SUCCESSION LINE IN THEIR COUNTRY. pathetic people all around.
TELL ME WHY AM I ONLY NOW DISCOVERING THAT LEO'S SON HAS HIS OWN NOVEL!?
The fact that Leonie is only twelve and already has a reputation of being worse than Philleo
I only remember bits and pieces of the synopsis. The bottom was in an arranged marriage with the top (might've been nobles). When the bottom arrived at the top's place, one of his servants was the one to receive him and the top was away on business and from the comments it seemed like the servant was actually the top but was hiding his identity for some reason.
Reading the novel makes me hate me ML's mom so much more.
The anguish this man feels after realizing he had someone he loved and a child out there but did not know anything about because the mom chose to interfere in his life. How time has passed not only for Yena and Jeong-o but for Jihun as well and he can't have those seven years back.
When the ML tells his father about Yena, there's a line in the novel-- "I had amnesia. I didn't know. So I lost everything." And this hit me so hard.
And mom looking down on Jeong-o for not coming from a reputable family, was a from a normal family as well and was the dad's fucking secretary. Talk about double standards.
Just started reading the novel and skimmed through some of the later chapters. Alice and Liliana go back to their homeland in a couple of years. And Liliana forgets most of her days spent in the empire and what she did with Edgar when she grew up
I want Calypso to know so bad that her parents from Korea did not forget her and still loves her very much! it was such a sad chapter. From Calypso only seeing her parents with their newborn baby and her dad telling the mom they can't keep bringing her up and to forget her to showing only the readers that they still very much love and long for their first daughter (mc) and the only reason they try not to bring her up is because it hurts them to even think about her
The ML is a high ranking noble. He’s proposing marriage to FL but her mom keeps suggesting her sister. So the ML says he wants someone with medical knowledge to help his soldiers, so marrying the sister would be useless to him.
Krios is such a dramatic diva and I'm all for it lol
Completely unrelated but I love how whenever Ho picks up the baby, she rubs her face on his chest it's so cute
I was rereading the chapter and just realized that Haebom covered the baby's ears before saying his nipples are throbbing I'm crying lol
