yall r doomed to lack media literacy and complex thought processing if u got this far, u should alr this manga is deep, complex, and not sunshine and rainbows. some of these comments describe the complexity of asagiri much better than I ever could so I would read those before wishing death on a complex character simply because u dont have the capacity to put their view into perspective

Personally I don’t think she’s forcing Satako, she’s trying to open her eyes to her own perspective. Sarai thinks her only worth is her “purity” and to serve her father. We have to stop playing into the patriarchy and villainizing the older women that have enough life experience fo call out the patriarchy. It’s so common these women are painted as bitter and jealous and those girls who think that grow up and realize those women were trying to help or protect them. Notice how she’s cruel in your eyes but not the man that murders without feeling a single thing for others or the harm he inflicts.
