If you have “reading comprehension” then you’ll come to the conclusion that this plot makes no sense, the characters are inconsistent in their behaviour, they’re childish and impulsive at best and downright fucking brainless at worst. It’s not about the readers for this one

Pearl Boy was full of dark, traumatic, depressing themes, I would never expect anything else from this author for a story that is related to PB. Also, it is smut, I would expect any trauma or psychological themes to be based around sexual encounters.

okay, okay, I'll explain my pov. whenever i see users complaining about people under these stories specifically jinx, pearl boy etc im weirded out cuz why does everyone get triggered by valid complains. I've read *plenty* of well written toxic stuff, and youll NEVER see people complain about it in the comments. the difference is, its how the rape is portrayed. esp in pearl boy, the author goes into unnecessary graphic details which are borderline fetishizing it instead of showing the pain. if u remember the gang rape in pearl boy, there was no need to show us a dildo being used, them moaning around, the zoom in on the cocks. it was weird as fuck. thats not a good portrayel, and its obv the author has some sort of weird fetish. also esp cuz the author uses rape every chance she gets. need to torture the mc? get him raped. need to torture the rapists? get them raped too. its weird. its really weird. last chapter ended with the rape, and people complained about it cuz is it really necessary for there to be rape between yuta and his literal love interest? again, if the author cared about including rape while maintaining the weight of how bad it is, they wouldnt deploy it every chance they get, nor would they show it in such porny details. the ones im calling well written have rape too, a ton of it, but i've seen the way they portray it and that has never made me or anyone else feel the author was fetishizing it. anyway end of ted talk!
