That ending feels kinda rushed tbh… like it feels like they spent so long building up so much tension between the two only for it all to end in one conversation with an expositional dump. I’m happy with the ending, but it’s just really fast compared to all the other plot points that were more drawn out.
Thats the thing, they skipped so many parts in the novel. You should just go read the novel version to be honest to get the full story. I recommend finding the chapter when andante finds him the first time, when he was staying with the old man after running away
