I enjoyed seeing Gian's imagination of Misha and Lily's session. That was HOT to me. Food sex was portrayed so elegantly. If I reread this epilogue, I would consider going back to that lol. It just felt nice to see Lily cherished, after the sorrow he went through from losing Oscar. ╥﹏╥

Although, I'm happy to see Lily living independently now. I was like Misha during their dinner meetup: completely interested in Lily's conversation! I'm not a racer or a car enthusiastic at all, but even I was amazed to hear about the six-point race harness. I would totally be drawn to Lily's explanation, if I were at that table lol. I think people become naturally attractive when they're passionate, because they just shine (●'◡'●)ノ

I hope Misha and Lily became friends afterwards. If Misha was single, I would totally be okay with him pursuing Lily. Lily was so patient when he pursued Oscar, since Lily knew Oscar still had feelings for Eduardo and Oscar wasn't always kind. It's still sad when I think of Lily and Oscar's peaceful days together, finally as a couple, but then Oscar passed away... >< It would be nice to see Lily happy with someone, which I know Misha has a lot of patience if these two met earlier... :/

I was not fond of Gian getting jealous and feeling insecure about himself... Gian is not a perfumer, and it's safe to say he's in his 30s (Gian commented that Lily looks like our racer is in his 20s, and that Lily would be a good match for Misha in terms of age), but those are not factors to look down on yourself either. Gian is intelligent as a doctor, and he has life experiences! It totally doesn't sound like Gian knows about Misha's past with Ilya. Misha wasn't always the elegant perfumer he is today, and it's thanks to Ilya for giving Misha opportunities; for having Misha to be reborn as Mikhail Ilych Kustov. Maybe Misha will keep his relationship with Ilya to himself for the rest of his life.

I was frightened when Gian said he desired to be incomplete so that he'll always need Misha. That reminded me of Ilya and Misha's relationship, where Misha belonged to Ilya and was dependent on the elder. The pain from losing Ilya is still so vivid in my mind, and I know Misha would always remember Ilya and their bond too. I'm not trying to jinx the characters, but if something were to happen to Misha, Gian would be in immense pain. Misha was resilient and he opened a perfume store. Gian trying to be perfect in order to love, and then thinking that failed when his divorce happened... I don't think a solution is to be incomplete, but to truly be independent. Don't feel the constant need to be apart of someone else. ><

When Misha wondered why no one trusts him, that instantly reminded me of when Misha recalled that Ilya gave our youngster all the keys to the rooms in their home, but not the key to Ilya's heart... :'( It took time for Ilya to share his heart with Misha, including the elder's pain from how betrayed he felt from his own relatives and how lonely he was. I sensed that Misha wanted a mutual, equal relationship and he still wants that now. But that is not always possible if you're with someone who puts you on a pedestal, and I totally felt that was how Gian viewed Misha... :/ By glamourizing Misha, Gian didn't simply acknowledge first that Misha is also a person who has desires: he wants an open, trusting relationship. I just hope there is improvement. I would have been okay with both parties staying single too. I think it's important to figure yourself out before you enter a relationship, and I think Gian needs to work on that. Otherwise, we'll see a dependent relationship, which is already happening... ><

I finally brought myself to finish Phantom, after putting it on hold for a year. I felt like the words were just passing by in front of my eyes. I was in denial, just like Lily was. Oscar passing away was foreshadowed, but I still didn't want to see it happen ╥﹏╥ It hurt me when Lily broke down, "... If only I hadn't loved him... Oscar. Oscar, I'm sorry." ╥﹏╥ But no Lily, Oscar was so grateful to be loved by you! We saw Oscar's loneliness throughout his racing career.

Even now, I still remember Oscar talking to his mother about retiring early so that he could spend more time with her. Although she was comforted to hear Oscar's sincerity, she didn't want him to let go of his talents for her. Oscar kept racing and racing without a goal in sight, until he met Eduardo. But although Oscar and Eduardo loved each other, they were constantly apart, due to their careers. Meeting Lily allowed Oscar to receive so much affection, to be bathed with love, and to experience moments of a peaceful, normal life he always yearned for. </3 Meeting Lily and loving him were all gifts to Oscar, that he would never exchange for anything in the world. I'm certain that Oscar did not regret taking Lily's place, even if he did survive and suffered injuries that would never allow him to race again.

Despite the uncertainty Oscar faced throughout his life, such as the future of his racing career and his relationship with Eduardo... Oscar was certain about one thing: that he loved Lily. And that love was enough for Oscar to risk himself on the track, despite the rain forecast and knowing it was dangerous to drive.

It honestly makes me scared to think that Lily might have faced the same fate as Oscar, if Lily was on the racing track instead... :( The race wasn't cancelled altogether, and Priya and Eduardo had a conversation earlier about wanting a new driver on Team Phantom. But Lily already had a contract, so Priya could not have Lily leave the team either. Oscar had a feeling then that Lily might have died, if Eduardo and Priya did stage an 'accident' to the public.

Overall, the ending of this short story shows Lily racing in the Indigo car, which was intended for Oscar. That gave me a feeling of Lily living on Oscar's legacy. Oscar wanted Lily to continue racing because Lily has potential and he's gifted. Lily racing is a way of continuing his relationship with Oscar. It's the world Oscar dedicated his life to, it's where he died... It's how Lily and Oscar met and fell in love. Racing is not just an individual association on Lily's end. And the same goes to Eduardo. Eduardo will continue to improve and make better cars for racers as he lives on and remembers Oscar, and the past they shared... </3

Feel free to reply and have a conversation! I'm grieving over our loss, and I would be glad to have people to chat with. <33

I remember feeling incredibly heartbroken over Ilya's death when that happened... Seeing Ilya's influence on Misha and the companionship they shared, and then Misha facing the cruelty of Ilya's relatives firsthand at Ilya's funeral... It was just so tragic I recognized how lonely Ilya was and why Misha was so important in Ilya's life.

It was just so tragic I recognized how lonely Ilya was and why Misha was so important in Ilya's life. That certainly impacted my one-year break from the story lol.

Maybe reading about Ilya was what made it somewhat easier for me to face Oscar... Ilya was a father, a mentor, a lover, a friend to Misha... Ilya was Misha's saviour, leading our young boy away from the abusive home and work life he had. Misha being reborn as Mikhail Ilych Kustov led him to opening his own perfume store, and opening his world to new friends (Diego, Callo, Lily) and meeting Gian, which sadly reflects Misha and Ilya's relationship through Gian's dependence...

I was on my phone, but my message was cut off after it was posted :/ I'll continue the rest:

I feel that like Misha's rebirth through his bond with Ilya, Lily shun this light into Oscar's life. After racing for years and years without a goal, and Oscar waiting for Eduardo for eight years... Lily's existence; his love and patience for Oscar were like a dream Oscar didn't know was possible. To meet someone who is so straightforward about his feelings for you (at first, Oscar thought Lily only wanted sex, but Lily kept coming back, despite knowing Oscar was still with Eduardo) ...who wouldn't be touched by someone like that? The genuine effort and passion from Lily were recognized, and Oscar indeed took his time to decide what to do. I think Oscar was very human, through his indecisiveness about his relationship with Eduardo and later feeling more stable towards his racing career, after being with Lily.

I think I know what you mean when you said losing Oscar was like losing a friend. I think many of us can relate to how Oscar felt. Many of us have experienced, or are at least sympathetic, to what it's like to have moments where we're unsure about the direction in our lives, and/or how it feels like to have someone important to us neglect us, yet not completely cutting off that bond either... After all, there is a chance the bond can rekindle, if you don't break it off completely >< Oscar faced years of loneliness as a racer, and he was neglected for eight years by Eduardo... To me, Oscar represents the deep yearning we humans have inside: to live with certainty and to be loved.

So, I'm glad Oscar experienced what he desired from Lily. :)) And that Lily and Eduardo continue to live independently, content with their careers. Both individuals aren't necessarily rejecting romance altogether, so they both have a chance to have new romantic lives. And that's where I felt uncomfortable regarding Misha and Gian's story (lol) because Misha was resilient through opening his perfume store, while Gian just moved on to a new relationship after his divorce... ><

I feel that romantic love can be wonderful if it makes you content, like how Oscar felt with Lily. But if you're using that love to be incomplete and you feel insecure like Gian...then it's not healthy either. Overall, it's important to focus on yourself and be content. Part of me wished Oscar retired from the racing world, so he wouldn't have died, and he could have spent more time with his mother... Yet, Lily might have died, and their relationship might not have been as developed as it was... :/ So, love can help move us forward, but it can also bring tragic ends like Oscar's death... </3

Thank you for reading my comment. I'm glad I made you feel better and that I have someone to talk with. I find that it can be very helpful to talk about your thoughts and feelings, which can not only make you feel better, but also understand yourself better. Feel free to reply, if you want to continue this conversation. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

it is just that it was the first time for me to feel this sad about the death of a fictional character. I always like to imagine that even after a story ends the characters continue their lifes and still do their things, as if we just read a little piece of their life. But for Oscar and Lily the story really ended there, actually just for Oscar because Lily continues to live. So I just think about all the things they couldn't do together and it really hurts.
When Ilya died it wasn't as bad for me because i kinda knew that he was going to die (this might sound harder than i mean). I just got this kinda feeling because he had this heart condition and was much older than Misha. You Know-how, Oscar still had so much he could have done and experienced, he was still young after all. Misha on the other hand was (because of his condition and age) not as painful to lose as Oscar. My arguments might sound and I'm sorry if any of my Opinions might offend You but I really enjoy this conversation and it helps to ease the pain :')

Yikes, I didn't see your message earlier and here I am replying. I hope you enjoy the rest of this conversation too :)

http://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/2992251/ <-- This is the thread on Ilya, where my feels and somebody else's came out LOL. It illustrates how I was feeling about Ilya, and our overall thoughts on his life. Feel free to read it :))

Do you have moments when you watch a series and you know a character is about to die -perhaps through foreshadowing- but you still feel sad anyway? There is a manga that has an anime adaptation called Natsuyuki Rendezvous (translation: A Summer Snow Rendezvous). I haven't read the manga, and I have seen the anime adaptation. That story portrays love and life, life and death, death and love... Sometimes, someone could be diagnosed with an illness, or a fortune teller or someone who can see the future can tell you that someone you love doesn't have much longer to live, but it could still make you sad anyway when they do leave you. And years, years later, you may continue to long for them... ╥﹏╥

I remember Misha used to reflect, "You gave me the keys to all the rooms in this house, but you never open yourself to me." So, when Ilya opened his heart to Misha, the two grew so much closer. Ilya didn't have to live in isolation anymore, which was his life for years before Misha began living with him. I think the thought of living and eventually dying alone, where you feel that there is no one who loves you...is too lonely. You can begin losing the motivation to live. I remember when Ilya passed away, I was frozen. Misha and Ilya were content with their lives together; it was a warm day, when Misha was planting flowers and Ilya tenderly rubbed the dirt off Misha's chin, before leaving their house to buy Misha a vase. And when Misha was informed Ilya passed away, he wondered what the expression on Ilya's face was... :( Until the end, they cared for each other. So, Misha and Ilya loved each other: being neglected and mistreated by their own respective families, they became each other's family. Sometimes, human beings are simple; companionship can be enough for us to look forward to another day, and give us a sense of purpose.

Although Oscar's life was short, I'm happy that he was bathed with so much love from Lily. I'm glad Eduardo loved Oscar too, but Lily's persistence and sweetness made Oscar feel loved and cared for again. I just genuinely enjoy seeing characters be loved and to experience love, as simple as that sounds x)) I think for Oscar and Lily to live the normal, stable life together that Oscar yearned for, it would make sense for the two of them to retire. :/ But again, Lily had potential and loves to race, so he wasn't ready to retire. Oscar would have probably waited years for Lily to gain more racing experience and maybe win some awards, before Lily feels ready to retire and settle together... Their relationship could have continued to develop, I agree with you. It is sad knowing the future Oscar dreamed for himself was gone. We didn't even see Oscar meet with his mother... :(

Thank you Cappy for translating and updating! Reading this for three minutes gave me the energy to get out of bed today ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Now, on to the story... I felt like an outsider viewing the situation, like Uncle Pan. YuYang may have been protecting a friend when he said, "Uncle Pan, how do you know him?" and stood between Uncle Pan and Qiu. Qiu asking, "Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?" is a blunt response from the youngster, who seemed to have felt injustice out of the blue. I think Qiu pulling Uncle Pan towards him, and exclaiming, "I saw him first! Don't you dare to take this uncle from me!" are his clumsy ways of acting on his feelings; Qiu likes Uncle Pan more than he thinks he does.

YuYang's confrontation may be a blessing in disguise, because it allowed Qiu to see how Uncle Pan views him. Qiu and Uncle Pan aren't officially dating (unless their moments at Uncle Pan's apartment have been off-screened, and maybe we'll get flashbacks later ;-----;) and based on the conversation between the pair, Uncle Pan just expected Qiu to have his fun and then leave once the youngster's done.

It sounds like Uncle Pan has a fair share of relationships. So, Uncle Pan accepts being together and breaking up as part of life. To Uncle Pan, what's important is if you're happy and love yourself, which we have seen from how content he is to own a bar and he seems perfectly okay living alone. I appreciate that Uncle Pan shared his views with Qiu, because that reinforced to Qiu that Uncle Pan has been viewing the youngster as someone who is just part of life, and it doesn't seem Qiu wants to be just a chapter in Uncle Pan's life :-) "I... This time I don't intend on fooling around," and Uncle Pan realized how serious Qiu was from the youngster's expression.

I do think that if Qiu was only fooling around with Uncle Pan the entire time, then he didn't have to put in all the effort we've seen him put in so far: constantly visited Uncle Pan's bar; still came back to Uncle Pan after being humiliated; picked and paid for groceries, washed vegetables, cooked, washed the dishes... Qiu has been staying at Uncle Pan's apartment, without a grasp of how Uncle Pan thought of our youngster. We already know that Qiu's friends, like An, were teasing him about Uncle Pan not taking our youngster seriously, and those kinds of comments can totally make you feel insecure.

We also don't know the full story to Qiu's past experiences. YuYang pointed at Qiu for having numerous girlfriends, but then Qiu retorted, "When did I mislead any girl, uh?" Qiu even asked YuYang if our protagonist knows our redhead, so I don't know how reliable YuYang's words are. YuYang may have just heard rumours, who knows. Based on how Qiu treats Uncle Pan, I just don't have a strong feeling that Qiu was as terrible as YuYang makes our redhead sound. I see Qiu as a clumsy boy who is bold, but he's not completely inconsiderate to other people's feelings where he would intentionally hurt them.

When YuYang told Qiu to not tease Uncle Pan and that Uncle Pan could get hurt... That was totally YuYang speaking from his own experience. YuYang would be hurt if LiHuan does not take our uke seriously, and YuYang sadly knows what that feels like... :/ But even if you like someone now and then they later fall for someone else (male or female), then I think that's something to deal with in the future. I agree with Uncle Pan about not thinking too much. I hope YuYang can eventually find the confidence and reassurance in himself, because it's sad to be afraid of loving someone. :(( I also hope YuYang can live in the moment, and soon cherish the time he has with LiHuan. To me, LiHuan is that character who only has eyes for you once he's interested in you, so it's unlikely for him to magically fall in love with someone else. I think LiHuan would be too happy for words when YuYang finally agrees to start a romantic relationship... >.<

I gotta say, I like Qiu's personality. He wasn't necessarily mad after YuYang just dragged him into the bathroom and told him off. Honestly, I think anyone would be upset if they randomly got pulled away by someone they barely know, and then to be told off as if this stranger knows everything :/ Instead, Qiu allows himself to be curious and he asked questions. I don't see Qiu acting extremely prideful with Uncle Pan, especially after Qiu was touched that Uncle Pan looks out for him. I like that Qiu faces his emotions, because he knows he wants to take Uncle Pan seriously, which may be a first for him. I think these are new emotions for Qiu, and he's willing to take the chance anyway. :) Now, we'll just see what Uncle Pan's response is... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Thank you! ~ I edited three times, because sometimes more thoughts arrive after I post. xDD I'm glad there are readers who like Qiu and Uncle Pan too :))

Cloe900311 August 8, 2019 6:36 am

I like how comfortable Qiu and Uncle Pan are. LOL, Uncle Pan is not making tremendous effort to tell Qiu to leave, and Qiu is just comfortably staying at Uncle Pan's apartment as if the youngster lives there xD And I found it cuter that Uncle Pan and Qiu shared an umbrella. (Uncle Pan probably has more than one umbrella at home haha) Qiu really does enjoy Uncle Pan's company, huh? Qiu was at Uncle Pan's apartment to keep the elder company, and the youngster chose to follow him to the bar :-) And it was somewhat adorable when Qiu wondered who YuYang was and why YuYang was close to Uncle Pan; was that jealously? :P

Now, about YuYang and LiHuan... I think there needs to be a push or for something to happen, for YuYang and LiHuan to have progression. I sense that there is a part of YuYang that doesn't 100% believe that he deserves to be loved by LiHuan and for the pair to be together. We already know that YuYang dealt with homophobia his whole life, and it's honestly very lonely. Even though YuYang has friends who know he's gay and they accept him, he said himself that there are people who are just...people to you, not necessarily those closest to you. In a sense, there's not really a win-win situation for YuYang. Even if YuYang were to date LiHuan right now at this moment, the feelings he grew up with regarding homophobia won't automatically disappear.

And we know LiHuan is with his dad. This is the first time LiHuan has fallen in love, so I think he needs time as well. YuYang denied his own feelings for LiHuan. Clearly, LiHuan can't force YuYang to enter a romantic relationship. Maybe LiHuan's dad can give our young boy guidance. Romance isn't always a smooth sailing experience after all.

Although, it may be a good sign that YuYang had a flashback of LiHuan offering his umbrella, and LiHuan wanting to wait for our uke after both their classes end. We know YuYang still has feelings for LiHuan, and they will become a couple in the future.

I'm also curious about how Qiu heard of YuYang, and why YuYang recognized Qiu's appearance... I just hope Qiu's friends weren't those people who wanted to cause fights with YuYang because our protagonist is gay =/ I hope Qiu wasn't part of that homophobic crowd. Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

I feel that this story demonstrates how we are reflections of our environments. Anton desperately wanted to be apart from Klaus and live with Arwin, but I don't know how Anton could bring himself to do that after Klaus sacrificed himself for Anton's survival... :/ It seems like Anton being engaged to Sylvia Renford (youngest daughter of Congressman Renford; the person Klaus arranged for Anton), and arranging their marriage earlier than planned are his ways of fulfilling his father's wish. Marrying Sylvia and potentially having children to continue the Arnault family are the least Anton can do for Klaus now. If Arwin were a female and if the pair got married, there would be the risk of people disapproving of the union, and potentially banishing Anton from the Arnault family, just like what his own parents went through.

I'm not content with Arwin being in a secret room that only Anton has access to, but what's important to the couple is that they're together. Arwin has been locked up his whole life, like when he used to work at the Cyrene Salon. I will assume the Cyrene Salon is now closed, since Cyrene is no longer in charge of the salon and it sounds like no one else took the position. We don't even know what Heath and Nick are doing now.... @____@ So, anyway, as someone who has been caged his whole life and his only priority is to be with Anton... I can see why Arwin is willingly staying hidden, where only Anton can visit our poor soul. :/ At least we don't have to worry about anyone harming Arwin. Sure, Arwin can walk around being protected by Anton, but who knows what other kind of people eyed Arwin when Klaus was alive, and what if they still want our uke now?

Even if Anton and Arwin left their society to live somewhere else freely, what would happen to the Arnault family? Who would inherit the family's company? I get the feeling that Anton feels responsible for the Arnault family, and all his father's efforts... It was bittersweet when Klaus chose to shield Anton in the end, because it just shows that Klaus always treated Anton as his son despite knowing Anton is not blood-related... Klaus loved his wife wholeheartedly, and that included the child she bore.

I just hope that Arwin and Anton can find peace and contentment where they are now. Hopefully, Arwin can slowly go outdoors again and live a life of his own too. I just hope that there would not be problems with Sylvia in the future after she marries Anton, and if she finds out abut Arwin and Anton's relationship... :|

The ending does highlight to me why Klaus was against Anton and Arwin's union. Regardless of how you approach it, you can't have a perfect situation once you live in a society that you need to be mindful of.

I felt so warm inside reading this. Karino and Azusa are using "harassment" as a label for them to be lovey-dovey. <33 Karino is attentive to Azusa, like when our seme changed locations to the futon since he thought Azusa didn't want to have sex in the hallway. While Azusa was avoiding Karino, since he said it felt like they were behaving like a couple, I love that Karino told Azusa, "You don't need to think about anything now." Living in the moment is important. (▰˘◡˘▰)

I think Azusa was touched when Karino called the plate of yakisoba Azusa made, "delicious." There really is that feeling of home, since Karino is used to only eating food for its nutritional value. :)) Azusa feared his own feelings, because what if he does develop romantic feelings and they become a couple? There would be no point in Azusa's dream to take down Karino someday. But I think more than that, Azusa's upbringing plays a role too. His own mother talked to him about climbing up the social leader, and he's seen how bad people can be from how her customers treat her for example. As someone who's looked down upon for his background and being humiliated (at least in private by Karino) as the target, I don't think love is a priority on Azusa's list. Love may even be foreign to Azusa.

I like seeing Azusa's walls slowly fall apart, like when Azusa reached out to hold Karino's index finger on the futon. :) This pair had sex countless times before, but this time...it felt heartwarming somehow.

Especially at the end when Karino kissed Azusa, Azusa was even blushing! There's certainly an attraction, and I hope we'll see them verbally acknowledge their feelings for each other soon :)

Cloe900311 July 31, 2019 6:54 am

I like the direction of Qiu and Uncle Pan’s relationship. They have such open communication (can we see this from YuYang and LiHuan soon, please? lol xD) I liked that Qiu and Uncle Pan had a conversation, when Qiu still demanded Uncle Pan for an apology and Uncle Pan refused. Uncle Pan is kind, since he just wants Qiu to not act so impulsively in the future. When Qiu realized he didn't dislike the way Uncle Pan spoke to our youngster, I think Qiu liked the feeling of being looked over. Qiu even said himself that even though his parents are alive, it's like they're not and they don't care about what he does. I sensed a hint of loneliness there... :(

I appreciate Uncle Pan for guiding Qiu to be more independent. I really sensed this feeling of "home" this chapter. Despite Qiu exclaiming that he doesn't know how to cook, he still went forward with it through Uncle Pan's encouragement. And it was nice to see Qiu be so confident and proud of his meal. X)) (I would have taken a photo too xD)

Haha, Qiu even washed the dishes. Indeed, everything was done by him! XDD It's nice to see Qiu realize how rewarding it is to prepare your own meal. The effort put into picking your own groceries and paying for them, washing the vegetables, cooking, and then washing the dishes after your meal... The simple pleasures of life are things we can sometimes forget. It seems like Qiu can take a step back and reflect when he's with Uncle Pan, which I like seeing. Qiu is really learning more about himself and opening himself to new opportunities after meeting Uncle Pan. (▰˘◡˘▰)

Qiu's shocked reaction when Uncle Pan went to bed at 10 PM would be my reaction too lol!! XDD I like that Uncle Pan allowed Qiu to leave whenever the youngster felt like it. I know some people can get paranoid when a guest is in their house while they're sleeping, but maybe Uncle Pan trusts Qiu? :) Uncle Pan seems to speak a lot through his actions, I think.

Uncle Pan thinking Qiu was cute while asleep, covering the boy with a blanket, and noting, "It seems that no one has been here for such a long time" warmed my heart. Uncle Pan genuinely enjoyed Qiu's company. I wouldn't mind if the couple start living together once they begin dating. To come home and eat dinner with someone can be a special feeling, despite how simple it can be. Cooking together is a simple and heartwarming activity too :)

Now...time to comment on the almost r-rated material (it would have been off-screened anyway if it did happen x/ ) --> I laughed and found it adorable when Qiu just remembered what they could be doing now that he was at Uncle Pan's house lol. I think Qiu has a front, since the boy is confident. But GEEZ, Uncle Pan's sexy charm was on when he pushed Qiu and asked the youngster if he really wanted to try. (And wow, Qiu's got abs!! XD) I appreciate that Uncle Pan read the atmosphere, since Qiu is not experienced (at least with another male; it would be cute if Qiu actually has 0 experience lol), so our considerate Uncle chose not to pursue it.

I can sense that the pair is comfortable and they're appreciating each other. Whether they choose to pursue a sexual relationship early or not, I think they could still have a genuine relationship based on the feelings they have for each other now. :))

I can honestly imagine Qiu and Uncle Pan becoming partners, spending each day with each other. It would be comfortable, and a space with open communication like this (●'◡'●)ノ

    This is a wonderful comment. :) @Anonymous

Thank you for saying so! :) It's good to know there are fans who view Uncle Pan and Qiu positively. I like that they're getting to know each other. Qiu has been clear about being interested in being with Uncle Pan (out of sexual curiosity and boredom at first, but we know it's not just that now), and Uncle Pan is giving Qiu a chance. I see this domestic date as a way for Qiu to learn what it's like to be with Uncle Pan, and it's for Uncle Pan to learn more about Qiu too. I like that this date was not a stiff and awkward first date, which can happen for new couples lol

    I love your comment. I couldn't agree more. @Emms

Thanks for liking my comment, and for agreeing with my words. :)) Uncle Pan and Qiu make me feel relaxed. They have clear differences and have good reasons for not being together, but they're still giving each other a chance anyway. They're not really afraid, and I like that (▰˘◡˘▰)

I think Uncle Pan finds Qiu amusing. Qiu could have given up on Uncle Pan after our young boy felt humiliated, but Qiu still came back regardless. Qiu demanded Uncle Pan for an apology, but our stubborn boy just wanted to see Uncle (lol), and I think Uncle Pan knew that too :P

It's good that Uncle Pan put Qiu in place by having the boy pick the groceries and pay for them, and even wash the vegetables! Qiu may be bratty from his upbringing, but his nature doesn't seem terrible. :) Qiu is surprisingly patient, and he does what he sets his heart on. Despite having friends who say Uncle Pan is not taking Qiu seriously enough, Qiu is still pursuing Uncle Pan anyway. I think anyone in Uncle Pan's position can acknowledge and even be touched by Qiu's efforts.

I love that Qiu was asking Uncle Pan where the latter was going, and Qiu chose to follow him lol. Qiu clearly wants to spend time with Uncle Pan, and I find that cute :P

An (Qiu's friend) saw Qiu and Uncle Pan's interaction in-person, and he was amazed lol. Qiu and Uncle Pan are surprisingly compatible, in the sense where they can talk easily with each other.

I hope that during dinner, Qiu and Uncle Pan can have a good conversation on the direction of their relationship. They're not dating, and I sense that Qiu is feeling uneasy... x) Although, it may be a good indicator for Qiu since Uncle Pan invited him over! :D

Haha thanks for agreeing xD It's good to know there are people who view Qiu and Uncle Pan fondly. :) I'm honestly taking a break from YuYang and LiHuan, and I'm enjoying this pair in the meantime (▰˘◡˘▰)

Yeah, I agree with everything you said. Uncle Pan and Qiu actually mesh well, I think Pan gets him.

Yes, our hearts do need a treat. I don't want to post angry comments at DJun or be upset at YuYang. I am curious about what will eventually bring YuYang and LiHuan together, but I think what we can do is to have hope that things will work out. YuYang having the courage to love proudly is not what he was allowed to do growing up, so it'll take time for him to adjust to and accept. Communication and personal growth are things we all go through, and it doesn't happen so quickly.

I love Uncle Pan being so experienced at handling Qiu lol. Uncle Pan may just have THAT much experience, which thankfully is guiding him to know exactly what to do with Qiu now. And Qiu is happily engaging with Uncle Pan, which I like too. I adore that this pair feels alive when they're together and they're willing to try, despite appearing like mismatches; they know almost nothing about each other, and it's much easier for them to stop talking than spend time with each other. I think that's fate too, where you meet the people you don't expect to, and you get along better than you may have imagined :)

Reading these age gaps stories where the older person understands the younger person, and there is maturity, makes me wish that I'll meet an older partner someday lol xD

Uncle Pan is just so cool. He appears so relaxed. I can't wait to learn about any flaws he has, or what his fears are... It'll be a contrast to his image, and it'll be fun to see Qiu tease the older man :P

It helps that Uncle Pan doesn't take Qiu's words negatively, and just pats the boy for being young and stubborn. I honestly think Qiu likes that attention; almost being doted on without being spoiled :) Maybe Qiu and Uncle Pan will have a happy domestic life together, since we already saw them going grocery shopping and now Qiu is even washing the vegetables. - Wait, that grocery outing could be considered their first date lol!! XD That thought just hit me :O

I'm curious about what's going to happen between Qiu and Uncle Pan now. I know that it was immature of Qiu to start a fight at Uncle Pan's bar, but it didn't come out of nowhere either. That customer has been repeatedly harassing bartender You, so Qiu was somewhat standing up for the poor guy. I hope Qiu and Uncle Pan have a good talk after this. Qiu was humiliated when Uncle Pan made the former apologize, but I hope that serves as a lesson for Qiu to not act so rash in the future. And Uncle Pan handled that nasty customer well, since our boss is even willing to call this customer's wife if another incident happens.

I'm curious to see how Uncle Pan and Qiu's communication will go later. They had open communication while they were at the beach, so maybe it won't be so bad when they meet again.

(The lyrics to Qiu's song about DJun releasing the chapters on time were cute lol. It's hard to be mad at this author xD)

It was 2:11 AM in my timezone when I saw that chapter 2 updated. I thought there might be issues to google chrome on Incognito mode, so I switched to the regular mode. That did not work either. And then I switched to the Internet app, and still no success... I'm seeing other comments about chapter 2 not appearing, so I'm thankful it's not my phone, my internet apps, or the wifi that is failing me lol. Good night to the world, and may we all open our eyes to read this update soon
