How can i tell?? Seriously its been bugging me for a while now Goofy_goose
All the major scanlation groups use AI. Kaizen, desire, mythtoon, etc. You can usually tell when there is dialogue that makes no sense, especially if there are pronoun confusion (because AI doesnt understand context). It's also usuallyabout speed; officials or independent translators take a long time because its a ton of work whereas AI groups can crank them out. Look at the popular stories rn and you'll see these groups are ceanking out translations by the hundreds. Also, for profit scanlation groups try to lure you to their websites where you pay them for their translations rather than pay the original author.

The first page of their translation will usually be an ad about their website telling you to go there for more. Not only that but their translation sucks. Some will feel out of place or don't even make sense at all.
if a group ever tells you to visit their website for more recent (paid) chapters, it's an AI group. actual scanlators have morals and standards and realize charging money for pirated content is so much more subject to litigation. like i just know lezhin and whoever WISHES real scanlation groups would charge money for their scans so they could easily sue them lmfao
Everyone goes soft the moment their lovey dovey happy family arc starts...honestly the story could still have the same climax and angst without the raping arc
Why it gotta get uploaded by a stupid AI translator

It'll have an AI photo in the beginning like this one. The names will almost always have scans at the end, but just check the headings of the chaps.
