Depending on the plot, i don't think nanjo WILL ever chase after mokhyon. Cz for that to happen, mokyon needs to move on so nanjo will understand and chase afyer him. But look at mok, he is trying to end his life, so moving on or leaving him behind is out of question.

It's very possible they have some trauma that explains their behavior. Even Nanjo's stupid decisions can be explained by his past. He clearly has a savior complex which is why he wants to save Sunhwa. That could mean that Nanjo has witnessed someone close to him getting abused and was too powerless to help them. So now when he sees Sunhwa who has all these bruises and Nanjo being someone not knowledgeable about BDSM assumes that it's abuse. He realizes that Sunhwa must be in denial about the abuse so instead of talking with Sunhwa he goes behind his back and agrees to Mok's deal so he can protect him.
