I think the empress became too crazy with Genas for a reason too. I mean you are married. Even though it's an arrangement or marriage without love, you can should still be civil & respect your wife.
Red flag for keeping the things of your past lover ( ̄へ ̄)
at the end of it theres no forcing ppl.gotra stop saying she forced him
1. he came to see her well knowing to be prepared to offer any he only had his life and body to offer ever since they were planning rebellion without any power
2. he was the one proposed to see hewr and i think she does say that she didnt think he wud actually come to see her knowing about her persona
3. the terms were his body and life in exchange for providing him power for the rest of the life her having more power leverage than him was ebfore and after the deal lowkey she also stopped middway surprised he actually was doing all this and the deal with her just for a practical stranger (enoch)
also i think sdhe just caught the whole 'interesting' feelings more she got to knwo the king?
I personally think it's still marital rape. He offered her his body because he had nothing else, right. He wouldn't have if he had something else to offer. He gives consent in a certain sense, but not in the way consent matters. He doesn't want to have intercourse with her but has no other choice. She knows this and still chooses to continually do it. I'm not siding with anyone here, rape is rape...
I'm thinking of reading but the comments are divided
As someone that saw this comment after rereading it I would say it’s worth it. The first chapter is always a drag for me because of how heavy of a topic it covers but it’s definitely a good read once you get through it!!! You can see character development(? / or at least you can say the ML becomes better at concealing his true nature), there’s drama, the FL falls first and falls hard but the ML also is head over heels for her after he falls in love, it’s funny and there’s actual plot not just romance!

It's not too long that you'll get bored & honestly, Jonathan is nobler that the nobles
