i genuinely think its hard to encounter something as vile as the way people treat the love intrests of main characters that have exes. the constant trivialization and denial when it comes to the mc's and their so's relationship just to make the the ex seem more important is damn exhausting! people break up for a reason! like no jane just because you cant get over your ex and treat everyone you've dated after them as a rebound or substitute doesnt meant that everyone is like that.
