I think the story is alright, but I admit it's very frustrating most reads. A part of me hopes Dan escapes and does better (but lets be real we all knew it would never happen) but that hope is why many of us still read I guess. Its an intentional direction, as the author knows will stir more drama. And more drama = more readers. I'm of course also guilty for feeding into this Its just a shame there aren't a lot of positive BL stories that take characters like Dan and build them up to eventually thrive.
