So guys, I have a question... Do I have the right to call myself the owner of “my dog”? He was given to me as a bday present, I trained him to sit, shake and etc. I was the one who cleaned his poop when he pooped inside the house. But I can seriously FEEL and SEE that he doesn’t love me as much as he loves my older sis. Why? Because since he was a baby he always sleeps in my sis room coz it has aircon ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ and mine isn’t. So when my sister is home, he always go to her room. And she always buys him lots of treats which he loves （￣へ￣) since she’s working. When its time to buy dogfood and all, we split the bill since and I cant afford that luxury coz I’m still a student. And she’s always the one who decides what flavor to buy. She’s acting like the owner. Then when she arrives at home after work he’s SUPER happy but if its me from school not so much... It hurts tbh

I believe animals tend to behave very much like us when it comes to affections and bonds. You can treat somebody with the greatest of the manners, buy them things and whatever that could make them happy but, if they don't like you, they don't like you...or maybe they like you but just like somebody else better ahah.
Maybe it will change once the dog gets older tho!
My cat is 8 years old now, at first he would only spend time with me, now he stll does but he got closer with my dad too (sleeps on his bed when he naps at evening time).

For a person, you could buy them all the things in the world, get them affection and whatever they want, spend time with them and all but the truth is that, if they don't like you...they don't like you ahah or at least they like someone else better!
I don't have a dog myself, but I have a cat and I can tell you that he changed with aging: he would spend the majority of his time with me when he was very little, now he got also close to my dad (naps with him in the evening).
Maybe your dog will grow closer to you with the age!

Your dog does love you, but your sister is probably the pack leader in his eyes. Don't take it personnally, that's how their relationships are built. You can forge a greater bond with him by playing with him a lot
Your dog probably thinks of you as master, rather than play thing, which is good, but obviously not the relationship you are content with. Your sister is more thought of as playful and your dog associates her with rewards. I say try spending more time with your dog outside of your sister's company. If she's around, take him on a walk or do his favorite outside activity without her around. If you constantly show that you are exciting and fun as she is, especially when she is not around, your dog will like you more.
If that doesn't work, I go by my favorite quote: when in doubt, Pavlov it out. Works well on dogs and people! If you don't know who that is, look up his psych experiment on Wikipedia. Toss your dog some peanut butter every time you come home or make him think your sister isn't so hot by putting his most hated smell in her room. Once he starts to associate these things with certain people, everything will fall into place and you can back off the stimuli. :3
We do. We do walking everyday for 45 mins, he really looks forward to it. But after walking he goes straight up to my sisters room with the aircon to rest ╥﹏╥ leaving me behind... I cant walk him sometimes coz there’s a time when I’m super tired from school or there’s an upcoming test I have to study so my sister gets mad at me when we cant walk (=・ω・=)

Please pray for my dog... he’s sick right now. He doesnt want to eat (its been 7 days already), internal bleading, high fever. He can’t be admitted because the vet refused cuz he’s agressive. He barks at strangers even at us. But yesterday he was sedated and was given injections he needed. He’s with us right now at home. He’s really weak and I don’t know what to do...

Oh and maybe watery foods? Like the meats in the can with gravy and such,it might be easier to eat than if you're feeding him kibble.
