I don't see the big deal. He's okay compared to plenty of other toxic MLs. He reflected enough and regretted. I think 7 years is enough time to think things over for the ML and FL and talk it out like adults.
The whole point of a regret storyline is that FL's feelings get validated because ML regrets and changes. This has happened here and there's plenty of time apart and plenty of regret and hurt on the ML's side. It's kind of stupid to be so adamant that they don't get together when their faces are literally on the cover page. You can tell that she will make Raymond fall from him from the cover alone 100 miles away. I don't get why ppl are so triggered that Raymond will be the ML.
