Im so sad I'll summarise what I said.

As bad as current Cezar is, when he first found Rudbeckia, his intentions were genuine and pure. He wanted to save her because he saw himself in her. He started abusing her only after the marriage proposal because the pope threatened to K.O her if she didn't comply. Because he was tortured and abused to obey, he assumed that's what he should do to Rudbeckia as well. From my interpretation, it seems like he didn't do anything to that extent before this incident. And mind you, we're merely seeing memories and crappy snippets after the new fl reincarnated into Rudbeckia. So assuming that she doesn't have any memories or information regarding the actual Rudbeckia's childhood, her POV is very jumpy. Anyways they grew up in the frickin Church yo

I never said I like him lol. Everyone in the story sucks except prolly the female lead. It doesn't matter whether you care about him or not lmao. If he didn't pick up the female lead do you think we would even have a story? Anyways my point is that his past merely explains his behaviour but not excuse them but when you hold him accountable you have to hold the Pope equally if not more accountable.

LIKE if ruby wanted, she couldve also treated idk her maids horribly just cause she was getting tortured. but she didnt. just because your a victim, that doesnt mean u can become the next predator. ALSO HE JUST KILLED ENZO?! LIKE WHAT JUSTIFIES HIM FUCKING KILLING HIS BROTHER, WHO WAS NEVER RUDE TO HIM. i know enzo prolly doesnt know abt how the fuckass pope treats ruby and cezar but still, what gives cezar the right to kill him. No of course you're allowed to have an opinion!! I respect your thoughts :). I was merely sharing my pov like you're sharing yours!! I absolutely agree he has no rights treating others like that even if he has a bad upbringing. But the point is that it changed his brain chemistry and he is genuinely mentally impaired. Every person is different and they deal with their emotions differently. Just because Ruby doesn't lash out doesn't mean others will as well. Cezar's actions SUCK especially when he killed Enzo and Im not excusing it but lowkey if I was Cezar and I saw my privileged af brother getting treated like a prince whilst I suffer and struggle to survive, I'd be resentful too. Regardless of that he is mentally ill and none of his actions are justifiable but the immense hate towards him is unfair
