Chapter 53 was especially brutal. I’m going to erase everything I’ve heard about how this ends from mind and commit to my head canon: Cheongwoo’s grandma tragically passes, of course the director didn’t let him see her, he had to sneak out and was able to get to the hospital just in time to say goodbye while she hugged him and told him she wanted the best for him. His best friend is there too and they hide from the directors goons long enough for Cheongwoo to explain what has happened to him. They both cry and the friend is furious but you can see the resolve in Cheongwoo’s eyes. He was crafty and made two other bracelets while imprisoned and gave one to his grandma before she passed and the other to his bestie. Little does Cheongwoo know he has some spiritual power attached to the bracelets. Bestie says his goodbyes and runs while Cheongwoo reveals himself to the thugs. They go back to the hotel prison. At night Cheongwoo tears the place apart and set it on fire. As everyone comes to investigate the fire, he threatens himself with a knife, daring anyone to come close. The stupid director dares and Cheongwoo slits his wrist and get some good slashes in on the director too. He’s bleeding out and now smiling because the director looks panicked for the first time. They try to get him out and to a hospital but Cheongwoo manages to rush to a broken window. He says he never wants to see director again, in this life or the next and jumps. The director tries to jump after him but his bitch ass crew stops him. They will NOT be having a mutual lover’s death on my watch.
We don’t see Cheongwoo’s fall, instead he falls through clouds and is transported to the afterlife with his grandma. I can’t remember if his mom was any good but if she was, hell, she’s there too.
Stupid bitch director is stoic but miserable, his face noticeably sunken and deep raccoon dark circles on his eyes. His mom tries to cheer him up but he can’t hear her, the only thing in his mind is Cheongwoo’s last moments and REGRET. (We, the viewers, don’t feel bad for him). If you want him to cry, he cries but personally I don’t think he deserves to cry over Cheongwoo. He lives for as long as you want- dealers choice- mine is around 50 years but never forgets Cheongwoo, hallucinating him everywhere but not remembering his face, like a dream you desperately try to hang onto. He destroys his life trying to remember.
Many years later, a baby with bright blue eyes and straw colored hair is born into a loving home. They name the baby Cheongwoo.
Waiiiit is this really what gonna happened from the novel or you just made it up???? Omg Im rooting for this hoping like any other manhwas, there's gonna be redemption arc!!!
