Chase is not Sane and not a good person either. We see his story from Joshua perspective who has a complete tame cute view of Chase so he seems cute but chase is a nightmare for other people.
- He abused and assaulted all his previous bodyguards for no reason so Ashley always had to pay a huge amount to keep those assault cases in wrap.
- Threw a Man from a Moving Helicopter
- Shoots people with a gun cause they irritated him little bit
- He is extremely rude and a jerk to other people except Joshua
- He has no character development throughout the story, his story was completely focused on smut and we never got any closure or development whatsoever it might trigger some people but it's truth, just him showing his vulnerable side to Joshua doesn't give him a pass to his crimes neither. People tend to ignore it because he done it to side characters not a main character.
- Joshua had no positive influence on chase, rather Joshua was like the person who made him feel safe and supports Chase in either his bad or good behaviour doesn't matter so it's like simply a wasted part the author done here. I am pretty sure she didn't like add much details for the story obviously cause it's very half baked and with no development whatsoever.
I agree with you on this even though I do like Chase.

like uff!! so damn right. Chase's character did not develop. Only his hidden traumas and unlocked emotions are shown.

this! that's why joshua is a perfect match to him, they forget that chase is not as normal when he is a miller for a reason
It is true that Chase doesn't improve much, but you need to consider that he isn't a normal person. None of them are, by nature, but Chase especially so. Because he suffers from a mental illness, he requires a lot of time to recover or at least reach a point of stability.
When I read these novels and manhwas, I keep in mind that none of the characters are saints or 'normal.' Chase has made mistakes and turned people's lives into a living hell, and the same goes for Grayson, Stacy, and the rest. Specifically regarding Grayson, he isn't a saint either; the only difference is that the author portrays the story through his POV and provides him with real character development. I am hoping that now that the Miller saga is coming to an end, the author will show us more about Chase and his true development. In every novel, we learn more about him, but only through the perspectives of his parents or siblings. We need to see if he can heal his wounds and finally let go.
