im so glad i gave this a chance despite the negative comments because i thoroughly enjoyed this like what a roller coaster. read it all in one sitting too. almost wish it was longer because the ending was wrapped up a bit too quickly/neatly (i like how ah-in got in trouble for kidnapping & imprisonment but not the brother? lol) but it was still a fun read
i forgot how funny this manga was, its great to see it getting regular updates again
love how batshit crazy sato is. until the very end he didnt even care about world domination or w.e he literally just wanted to kill people and play videogames
also hot take but tanaka did nothing wrong and im glad he got a happy ending

i thought this would be like every other story w an "ugly betty" mc but it seems the authors going in a different direction which is nice. for once the solution isnt to just get a makeover but to actually overcome insecurities
That's what makes this the usual. Because looks shaming is not something the victim does to themselves. But it is always assumed to be the victim's responsibility no matter what. But thanks for letting me know it's a cliched story. I know I'm going to drop this now.
i see where youre coming from but i dont think the authors intention is to blame the victims. to be frank, its highly unlikely that society will change its standards, so the least you can do is love yourself in spite of that. surely thats better than the common theme of hiding your true self to be accepted by society. its up to you whether you continue but i think its a nice story
everytime i see chigiri i just get so scared that hell trip or smthn and mess up his leg like ik he got over his fear but i didnt i feel like the authors just waiting for the perfect time to drop the bomb
