Location seems too far away for it to be Estelle as the archer so I think it was Duke Heint!! I’d be happier if it was Estelle since it’s such poetic justice that he was stopped from fulfilling his mission easily to Estelle and unable to reap the satisfaction from it, but I’d also love it if it was Duke Heint who also hates the ever living shit out of Khalid.

I love that her mistakes here are very natural. When you’re stressed and cornered it’s easy to slip up, no amount of skill or knowledge is gonna save you and if you try to correct it you’ll sound jumbled and obviously lying unless you’re a seasoned manipulator, which she is not. He is also pretty sharp to come to the conclusion that she’s died once already, since he’s always been kind of suspicious of her gift. It’s ok, cause things will work out for her and Kael

THIS IS WHAT WE WANTED. While reading the novel I was so frustrated with the ending, even though enduring author Lice would have Clit. But like, THIS version ending is so much better where everyone gets their tangible punishments and we get to see the OG characters that they did not elaborate on in the novel. As soon as clit saw lice in the cell I knew it was the OG Lise, and got goosebumps. So happy I hope Og Edith can live a good next life. I wonder if OG Lise is an asshole ??

I had butterflies this whole chapter then my stomach dropped. Hoping she didn’t accept her trash ex’s friendship request. I really want her to heal, move on, and pursue a connection with our ML. Also I’m a little worried about his ex like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop ya know? Since she bought bags from our FML, you don’t think she’d cause problems for her business do you? Since the ex’s are the most selfish in selfish romance, I’m concerned but it also could be all the other dramatic comics Ive read

Despite all the changes to make this adaptation that made it feel so rushed and odd in some spots, I am extremely happy Clit gets a punishment. In the original he did not, and here he does!! It makes me so happy. I know the translation is not great, but it seems like he took for granted his natural skill, which is typical of privileged male leads tbh. Idk what he’s going to do looking for Lice.
I also don’t remember in the novel current Edith talking to another Edith but it has been a while, but regardless of whether it was in the novel or not, I like this idea! I hope OG Edith can get closure here.

So we know the novel is different, but is her standing there and accepting the hanging, considered passing the third condition? We didn’t get a pop up screen of her passing the third condition which is to accept her death. But anyway, I’m curious to see what Lice is gonna do cause in the novel she still tried to get Edith killed with her lame tricks, even after Edith passed the third condition. Also, I’m glad that in this adaption, the duke realizes how trash he himself is and also how trash his first sin Clit is.

I’m glad the author/artist didn’t glorify that time period, it really DID smell awful and there definitely would be severed heads. Good stuff

In this version she gives herself up instead of being caught? I can’t say I like it, but I’m still very curious as to what her plan is. She still hasn’t given up, maybe in this version she will use her wit instead of despairing? It’s all gonna come down to the showdown in the mansion where everyone’s executed. I wonder if they’ll have the jail scene or if that will change too.

The duke seems much more proactive in this compared to the novel. I really hope we get better justice in this version and see a bigger punishment for Lice and Clit!!
