Also as for them being in love, it’s not very explicitly canon in main (tho there’s pretty much an agreement with everyone in the fandom they’re canon haha), but the extra did have a chapter where HYJ did say he loved SHJ without activating the skill which indicated that he really does also love SHJ back, and SHJ is just very clearly in love with HYJ.
