i would honestly say yes and agree with you if this was any other manga/wha where this happened but i dont get this vibe from this story. (i did stop reading awhile ago and havent touched it since last year so my memory isnt up to date, ch 70 or so).
the mc is such a good hearted person by nature that he actually doesnt really treat others that differently from how mc interacted with ml in his younger years, so in that sense i didnt really get a ''im raising you as my kid'' feeling but more a '' im protecting you''
but notheless i do kinda think you are right. if you take it at face value without any nuance this could have pedophilic undertones. but since mc was never pushed into the father role by the narrative i dont think we should really see it as such.

I was hiking on mount Everest and after a while, I saw a local and asked where I was. Then, they pointed to this manhwa; that was when I knew, I was at the absolute PEAK.

Aside from that, they’re both very horrid stories that I reached up to 10 chapters of reading solely because it was popular and I was skipping the smut scenes. That is why they are ‘no different’, because they’re the same caliber of horrid.
