I was lowkey confused too, but Iâm guessing Teaui thought that since they slept together, the sniper wouldnât actually kill him since he was hired by Xinulu (canât spell his name). Like Teaui assumed there had to be some feelings involved between the two (ilay and Xinulu), so he didnât think the sniper would actually go through with it.. bc Xinulu could have warned the sniper ahead of time not to kill ilay due to their âpast-relationshipâ. Is what I think Teaui thought and meant as in âwhy would he kill the guy he slept with? They must have had some feelings for eachotherâ.

i think itâs bc eui-joon offered him comfort. hyeon grew up without a mother it seems, and with a father that hated him. time and time again, he mentions how he doesnât have friends and the author also said that in the authors note. all of that taken into consideration, besides gunwoo whoâd offered him solace and a familial bond at a distance, eui-joon was the only person whoâd shown hyeon sympathy and kindness from a pure place. seeing as how he hadnât received it before, i think hyeonâs initial instinct was to act romantically bc heâd never received that kind of selfless affection from family or friends so he didnât know about it or how to act and heâd just gotten confused. he never shows or acts on any romantic feelings other than that one chapter, so itâs quite obvious he doesnât have a crush or any romantic feelings for eui-joon, so hyeon was probably just confused
