It's refreshing to see an mc that's quite childish even though he lived maybe about hundred or thousand years (as a sword). It didn't overlapped too much with the og body's personality, which stopped the rise of unnecessary suspicion, it actually went well with the memory loss excuse. He's a little bit "trash" and it actually helps with the natural progression of the story. Instead of people being suspicious, they can just dismiss the small change as a result of losing his memories after the near-death incident. So I will expect that there won't be much of "oh, he's changed, I hated him but I'll give him a chance" cliché. (So, it's actually a little disappointing that the first girl he sparred with immediately swore loyalty. But given the bet and his position as a prince, ig I'll let it slide.) Looking forward for more.

I hate this story's emperor more than the other story's emperor. That shit is so freaking weak in so many ways it's infuriating that he wields the power or a ruler. If not for his throne, it would be real easy to get rid of him. But anyway, the author made this a little too realistic.
The power of the emperor. The law (lest-majeste, and treason). The pawns (they're not dumb, making them worthy to be the emperor's subordinate cos what's the use of weak villains?). The mc who has lingering trauma from her previous run of this life. Because if it's too easy to overcome a trauma, there won't be mental institutions and/or psychiatrist needed.
And you can't say it's fantasy so anything is possible. Even stories about gods follow some rules. There's no way it's okay for this story's characters to just go wild, after all, the mc is portrayed to be righteous. If this is a story in a demon realm setting or she's a mercenary/assassin who works for money, I would be disappointed by this chain of events.
But this isn't so bad. Just slow.
