Also, while I wouldn't necessarily call what okaya feels towards nagare as love, he is def obsessed with him. It was hinted at before, but the cockroach extra and picture pretty much confirms it, considering its lit been 2 yrs and he still hasn't moved on (freak). And if yall can't see it, its pretty much a media literacy problem now lol.
I hope yall realize that acknowledging his strong (albeit unhealthy) feelings for nagare wouldn't equate to people shipping them nor romanticising those actions irl (lets be fr now). And even if people DO ship them just leave them be... Its literally not that serious
The next major arc will prolly feature nirei's FULL backstory with hints of sakura's. Then after maybe sakura's full backstory will be revealed. Finally, it will be suo's turn, which I'm guessing is close to the conclusion of the series.
(I have reasons and theories as to why, esp regarding the meaning of their names and the symbols used in the story, but its too long lol)
The other side characters backstories will most likely happen in the middle of, or after nirei's and sakura's backstory, but def not after suo's.
I like minamoto for the mc more, cause as of now I personally find hatano boring, since his personality is only centered around the mc, unlike mind reader who I still find funny and interesting even if he doesn't get to interact with the mc. Though his current goal is to find our mc rn, he still got his own problems and backstory and all, while hatano was obv just created to fck with the mc, which just doesn't vibe with me, esp since I personally believe that mc deserves someone better who actually has more personality than "love interest who's been pining over the mc for years", but that's just me lol.
