I mean to be fair the underlying theme of the main story was Melissa beating some decency into the og novels ml's, giving Yuri a freedom she's never had before. I'm glad to see her hard work wasn't wasted and he actually changed for the better. You know, the special side stories make me think that Ian was the way he was because he essentially grew up never being told no until Melissa came along.

First story felt nonsensical, like a bad fever dream. Second story was kind of going better places, but it was super rushed (I mean, with 2 chapters...) so it feels unsatisfying anyway

I always love when the element of a soulmate/fated mate gets introduced with a third party because it leaves the opportunity for so much exploration of characters and the ABO universe, but this is... getting worse and worse. Like, I know the author is here to draw kinky shit, but he's dragging his own character through the mud to do that (not that Renji was ever all that likeable, but this is like, a whole new low). Can't say it's a smart choice – but then again, here I am, reading it in the hopes *some* part of the resolution might make up for this shit...
