Too marinate or not to marinate? That's the question. Recently I've heard of a bl manhwa that was discontinued by the author for the lack of views, and suddenly a shit ton of people posted feelings guilty af cuz they knew of the existence of said manwha but simultaneously opted for letting it marinate instead of reading each time it update. I know this doesn't apply to pirate sites like this one, but those of you who are on paying sites please don't marinate your faves too much or we may get a bitter surprise!
With so many teenagers around here I feel like an old fuyoshi lady, like I shouldnt be reading manga anymore and concentrate in more "adult hobbies", I don't know really. No se si debería cortar con el manga por lo sano...la verdad es que me quita mucho tiempo pero lo ADORO.
People here do judge adults for reading yaoi, and ngl it is kinda weird that adults would spend their time like this, but not really... if you enjoy it, just read it on the DL.

You’re not meant to read yaoi mangas when you’re under 18 so I don’t see the wrong in reading them at your age.

Like kaneeyken said, the creators of all this stuff we consume aren't ~teenagers~, they're grown ass adults. Sure, their target audience is most likely teenagers, but really, who are the ones most likely to actually have the money to spend and support the work on a frequent basis?
and just like Emm said, yaoi is technically meant only for those who are adults, and in most or all parts of the world, by the time you turn 18 you're considered an adult.

Guuuurl im 31 and i.ve been reading yaoi since 2009. I LOVE IT and i dont feel guilty reading it cause it doesnt interfere with my life (tho im a closet fujoshi) Just do what the hell you want. Hablo español e ingles just in case xD solo q aca todos hablan ingles.

Im 24 so i get how u feel when everyone is 15+ but i don't care. I doesn't matter how old someone is! As long as you enjoying the Mangas, u should let people take that from u.

The slow paced rhythm that is killing us all is pretty much justified, but is not caused by Laura's indecisiveness.
I think the problem here is that our MC is extremely rational and very cautious, added to the fact that she knows social norms and convections to a tee, in the era she belongs to, she is aware that romantic love and marriage are not equivalents, and her social standing is nothing but a hinder to anyone who wants to marry her.
I'm pretty sure she herself understands deep down that ML may be in love with her, but that doesn't mean she is able to let go of everything she has lived and known for him, to throw herself into his arm without a care...again, as is stated in the flashbacks that she had a lover in the past but he ended up not marrying her. She is afraid of being hurt again, of being humiliated and damaged far from redemption. Loosing her reputation in the era she lives almost means a death row for a woman with no family to stand beside her, without a good background she couldn't barely work and sustain herself. So yeah, is pretty realistic for her to doubt the ML since she is not a mind reader, the true intentions of his actions are only known by him alone. He may ask for love, but that doesn't mean he is willing to marry her, and even if he were, she would bear the shame of marrying out of her standing the rest of her life. The poor Laura will loose something whatever she choses.
