Ppl complaining about the art here in the comments should just shut up. You’re reading it illegally for free, you don’t get to have an opinion. You aren’t the customer here. You aren’t paying for the chapters, you aren’t supporting the artist, and you certainly aren’t entitled to creative control. If you genuinely have a problem with the art, go complain on the official platform, where your feedback might actually reach the people involved in the production. You can’t, because you’re not buying the chapters. You’re reading an illegal upload and then using the comments under it to complain about an artist who isn’t even getting your support.
Or just go read the novel if you like the story so much but can’t stand the artstyle. Also, changing the artist wouldn’t magically solve your problem. You’d simply find something else to complain about, because apparently nothing can ever be good enough for some of you. Different proportions? Complaints. Different character designs? Complaints. Different rendering? Complaints. More detailed? Still complaints. Some of you are getting too entitled.

but basically, what's going on is... SPOILERS... chapters 4 and 5 of Dog's Paradise are flashbacks of Gitae's and Jihoon's childhood. It's about how Gitae finds him as a puppy, locked and abandoned in some scrap yard, and sneaks him into the orphanage, and chapter 5 especially is heartbreaking cus it reveals that Jihoon is a defective esper with no organ to receive guiding, so he can't even receive proper guiding even if Gitae were a guide. He can't control his feline side, so he's not even fully human, as his feline and human sides blend together too much - he's also slightly dumb and slow, according to some doctor. During a study session, he gets distracted, so his father slaps him, and Jihoon attacks him, which results in his mother throwing him out to die. However, Gitae finds him, and the ladies in the orphanage contact an esper centre to take him. Gitae doesn't want to be separated, so he convinces Jihoon to run away with him, but as they're leaving, Jihoon's mother shows up. Her ppl can't find them anywhere, so they burn the whole orphanage down and kill everyone. However, when Jihoon spots his mom, he reacts like a dog to his master and all excited tries to run towards her while she's ordering her men to find him and kill him. He pushes Gitae down, hurting him, and tries to follow his mom in a car. But Gitae's thoughts are what killed me as he's saying that "No matter how cruelly one treats their dog, a dog (a child) cannot simply hate his master (a parent)." There's also an ending sequence where it's describing how gates affected many kids who ended up on streets cus orphanages are too full and they basically became outcasts and an everyday occurrence so ppl don't even feel bad for orphans anymore cus "there are as many kids without homes and parents as there are stones on a sidewalk" is what he was thinking. It's all in all a very angsty chapter.
