I think this actually makes sense for Taeseo's character. He doesn't like to be bothered with things he thinks are irrelevant, he doesn't communicate with Yeomin and he mostly ignores Yeomin's ramblings. He's treated him like a toy this whole time. He also gets everything he wants - with force, money and subterfuge. Their 'relationship' only works if what he wants is what Yeomin wants.
He's always been this way. He's an immovable object. It's thanks to all this that he simply went behind Yeomin's back. But he's simply slammed right into another immovable object in Yeomin. Something's got to give.
