As an artist myself everything he feels is something I’ve felt throughout the years of college. Such complex feelings; such as disappointment and disapproval of doing something or pushing your art in a direction just to appeal to your professors. These emotions are absolutely hard to describe besides you questioning your life and why you decided to do art. Even with such thoughts you decided to push through because you’re passionate about your medium. I’ve never had such issues with ceramics but with printmaking I’m absolutely judged by my professors for my decision for different methods. Because of this judgment I print at night then get told to print during class. I usually can take a lot of shit as a person but this critique is crushing and demoralizing. Regardless I push through as I’m passionate about both even though I’m staying up every day late and waking up early for morning classes.
