I don’t think this is gonna turn into a romance thing, it’s just a feeling. It kinda reminds me of the violet evergarden situation as it’s a mutual relationship and not romantic.

yall like calm down everyone and there mother knows u wont drop it cuz of this micro romance i hate tess too but like i mean what do u want to be like early 2000s anime where they have a shy uwu in the back that never gets developed and they suddenly get marrried in the last ep this is fully an action adventure but art is a human too he wont just robotically cut of his human side(if thats what u want it exists just go find it) he did that in his past life and regreted not living this life is about him living ia meaning full life and to do that he needs power thats why he gets stonger and he likes fighting too i hate romance in my fighting manga too but a lil bit of it fits the theme the begening after the end like dating is a normal part of life and romance wont even be a big plot in this if u cant handle this you'll never be able to enjoy soo many good stories its just childish(sorrry if i got too mean or smt its just yall over reacting for rn even if tess getting annoying in the future she's not that big a deal rn and u guys are over reacting too much about romance i hate it but there a dif if it fits the theme or not)
if u say it ruins the story u dont get the story this from the start has been about art living a good life cuz his old life was soo well to put it deprived of life he wanted to get stronger cuz he needs it to protect his family and he's interested in it i heard the romance is annoying the the future but dont just go hating on the story

Lowkey tho I agree, cause the guy never makes proper plans and rushes things and always has to get his ass saved after getting beaten up... if it weren't for the basically maxed out plot armor the mc would've died or permanently crippled a while ago.
But that's the point. Him being a useless guy, learning from all his mistakes and being a little bit stronger next time. Because he's got tons. He's the most human character after all, and a lucky one for having that kind of friends.

As an artist myself everything he feels is something I’ve felt throughout the years of college. Such complex feelings; such as disappointment and disapproval of doing something or pushing your art in a direction just to appeal to your professors. These emotions are absolutely hard to describe besides you questioning your life and why you decided to do art. Even with such thoughts you decided to push through because you’re passionate about your medium. I’ve never had such issues with ceramics but with printmaking I’m absolutely judged by my professors for my decision for different methods. Because of this judgment I print at night then get told to print during class. I usually can take a lot of shit as a person but this critique is crushing and demoralizing. Regardless I push through as I’m passionate about both even though I’m staying up every day late and waking up early for morning classes.
