How would you know who can and who cannot? You’re just assuming things because so many love TJ and ship him with Ian. I spoke about the couple dynamic. and if you like it in the story but not in your personal life then good for you, but dont act as if other people can do the same.

If you want to say they’re codependent, then say that. However being close to someone who represents the only family you have left isn’t “toxic.” I seriously wish I could explain it to you better, but I really struggle to see how you came to that conclusion.

All I can say is that using “he’s the only family I got” as an example of what you call “toxic” doesn’t make any sense. I really don’t have anything more to say about that.

I totally agree that it is toxic. Especially when you consider how Tj kept saying that, starting from Ian's mom's death, gaslighting Ian into believing that he has no one else in this life. It conveniently helped Tj to keep Ian with him because Ian was afraid to leave his only family member. So Tj followed Jason's advice -keep them close, but not too close in order not to burn- and that word gave Tj the chance to do exactly that.
