The tags say he is conservative (everywhere), so the story is preparing you to some overprotective attitudes. They are uncomfortable on purpose to create the drama.

boring ass story. i paused reading this awhile ago bc it was starting to drag and decided to check in to see if anything had actually developed yet…. nothing has changed, its just more filler. it’s insane how we’re 80+ chapters in and not a single plot point has been resolved yet.

Welll... I think it makes for a pretty accurate pacing that reflects the reality of things. The routine goes on and it takes a long time to sit with our feelings and grief after leaving an abusive relationship and heavy poverty, process them, discover what identity means for us, reclaim it etc.
Considering we view the majority of the narration from Haesoo's perspective, it makes sense. We only get a couple of hints about Taeha sprinkle sprinkle, and that's how it should be because we are living through Haesoo majorly and she can't know about these things and isn't in a position to wonder about them yet either.
But we are slowly getting to see how each one of her days changes little by little. When you're plagued emotionally, financially, physically you don't have the luxury to "progress the plot". But I'm fucking dying to see more of Taehee and his upbringing T.T
I don’t mind slow paced stories but it feels like we’ve been stuck in the same place for the past 10 weeks nothing has really progressed especially the unfinished and teased ex boyfriend storyline am I tripping

i’m just so burnt out from this story, there’s slow paced and then there’s this. this is nothing. it would be more interesting to read from haesoo’s perspective if she was actually compelling or interesting to learn about but she’s so passive to a point where it feels like i’m watching paint dry. it’s hard to sympathise or be interested in a character that can’t even ask her situationship what his job is or where he lives… like girl… do something, anything! i beg!
i’m so over these nothing chapters, i used to be excited over updates and now it feels like there’s literally no point to reading them. nothing is happening ? there was this huge build up for a big confrontation and for mincheol finally catching them together, just to end up completely disappointed. i need plot, i need literally anything to actually happen
the art for this is so weird and unsettling? it’s not necessarily bad but those gross ass veins and wonky proportions are seriously throwing me off. the plot & pacing is also terrible. and yet… i somehow can’t look away, its like watching a car crash.

this was so much better than i thought it was going to be ?? cutest manga !!! cutest relationship !!! love love love this !! 110% recommend to anyone thinking abt reading it. a few things were… questionable (cough his cousin cough) but the positives outweigh the negatives. it never gets to that frustrating point in most shoujo mangas where annoying characters & misunderstandings start to bog them down.
