That is my exact question. Why not just burn them all? Why take so long and so many plans to take down the council. It just doesn’t make sense.
Don't we say "winners are the one who write the history". They could definitely make up a story to make citizens hate council.

I believe cause in these kinds of situations with kings ruling just executing the threat out the gate is not the way to win the hearts of your ppl, stay in the good graces of your servants and look merciful and humane to outsiders. That's really how they used to rule. There is always somebody who will replace the ones the king kills for treason. Then that person goes on the tell others and round up followers who believe their cause. Which makes another enemy of thr king and the battle for the throne starts all over again.

First of all, king doesn’t even care about his people. And second he is from freaking dragon linage, you know if council wanted they could take throne but don't because the empire is build on dragon symbol. Even if there is a threat, it wouldn’t be hard to resolve. Feeding them stories are easier than feeding them drugs.

I meant kings in general not Karas and yes spreading rumors and stories is easier than drugging them but Karas doesn't care for their lives as you pointed out and it's still doing its intended purpose which is flushing out the council and its supporters. Rumors and stories can only get you so far its usually used to create confusion I've rarely seen it used to control a nation and resolve its problems especially when it comes to treason.

Really? I was thinking that it has been long enough. Like the author made it super obvious who her father was early on and when diel was about to reveal it to them I was like please do not let this drag any longer.

The only reason why I feel like they didn't have a longer scene for it is just because it's they've already hinted at it for so long. And also, there's more to come, like life goes on the rebellion is still happening. I'm sure there's gonna be more interaction of them with how this revelation is going affect them now.

I could be completely wrong, but I think OP isn’t referring to the length of time it took to find out that Richie and count Perlman are related. I think the OP might be referring to how: Once we learned they’re related, shouldn’t we have focused on that for a while? Instead Count Perlman goes off to tell his family without Richie. The newly reunited father and daughter weren’t hugging, crying, sobbing into each other’s arms or anything. It was all so professional.

It didn’t feel like: I’ve discovered my long lost daughter after a lifetime of searching! The regret, the despair, the joy, the relief, and the confusion are all so overwhelming! Nope! Instead, we just move on. Time to take care of life’s duties like responsible professionals should.

I 100% agree with you. The author writes as if her readers are stupid!!! The whole father-daughter reveal would have been done in the 1st 10 chapters & the other plots introduced. But this author drags this dead cow till chapter 90!!!

This manga is an exercise by an author to say "how to tell the readers I am fucking stupid & I can't think of anything else"
