Ian will play mind games with Michelle and humiliate him in order to get revenge on Michelle's father. Michelle isn't even at blame but he receives the punishment? No, thank you.
Ian isn't cute or charming or interesting. His trauma is stereotypical of yaoi stories and it lays flat. His reason just feels like cheap angst and the author doesn't dive deeper into the aftermath of getting abused sexually.
Show us Ian struggling with mental health. Show us how he feels scared, ashamed, hypersexual, how he hates touch, nightmares, panic attacks, depression, anxiety. Idk anything!!
Wish we got more Michelle maturing and growing a backbone but that doesn't happen either.
In the end Ian feels guilty of how he treated Michelle, so it's not really love.

People are attacking Mok for wanting to kill himself as a way to have Nanjo remember him forever.
I don't see him as toxic though because I can realize that it's a coping mechanism (even though it's unhealthy).
Suicide is a fantasy in this situation. Suicide will free Mok from the pain and bring Nanjo to him. It's like when kids want to get a nosebleed so people worry about them.
In this case, it makes Mok feel în control of the situation (it's my life and I cân take it anytime) AND bounds Nanjo to him (eg nanjo and me share a painful past ).
Yeah, I agree. I can relate to Mok because I've been in that kind situation as well. I wanted to kill myself too because of heartbreak just to end the pain, suffering and to be remembered by ex forever. It really happens in real life.
I was actually like this with my mom growing up. Whenever we had huge fights and I felt like she was hurting me, I always thought about suicide as a means to hurt her back

Yes. It's been gone for a long time now. I am happily married with a beautiful daughter. Anyway, I just want you to know that you are strong and brave for choosing yourself over your mom. Other people may hurt you, but at the end of the day, you are the one who has to protect yourself and take care of your own well-being.
