Mc reminds me of myself. I was physically abused, gaslighted, manipulated, sexually assaulted, and I was still afraid to leave. The idea of starting over again ALONE was so depressing that it made me hope that my abuser could still change instead. 3 fucking years I endured everything, he would beat me up but then would kiss my bruises or my scars after while saying "you're okay, you're safe now". My abuser would beat me up infront of his friends and they would laugh at me since "it was my fault" or say "you should've done this blah blah".
