I remembered this one bl manga, not sure if it was a guide verse but it was something similar. Mc comes from this big academia that houses people who have special abilities since the world was riddled now with infected (?) there are two ability users similar to ‘guides’ and ‘espers’ . The mc has a ‘weak’ ability I think it was like, a good sense of smell? Anyways a few chapters later he was sent out to find his ‘Esper’ TT

I’m trying to find this one bl manhua (Chinese manga), it was psychological/horror and it had a lot of rabbit motifs. The story revolved around a cult in the woods and the male mc was one of the three researchers trying to uncover what the cult was. Also, the God the cult is worshiping is the male ml .
